during races, like what was done in Midnight Club LA. You would still trigger pursuits

Cruising around in an International would be awesome, I suppose GMC is more likely though since they're the ones found in traffic.
Still, they were sold with a Big Block Chevy engine . . . 1500hp U-Haul anyone?

Beware the voice without a face - Jan 23, 2013 6:27 pm GMTIf u're talkin about the extreme of the extreme then u should be able to extract 2000+bhp from any big block, which means u can literally do any speeds u want as long as u've got other strong enough components to cope with, appropriate gear ratios and sufficient downforce lol.
- Jan 23, 2013 7:38 pm GMTActually no, once you get up to speeds like that aerodynamics make a much bigger difference. The team that worked on the Bugatti Veyron when they were first going for a speed record of 250 said that they could get a car up to 200 mph with just 200 hp - the rest was done by aero. They needed another 800 to hit 250, 5 times the power.
GMC's commercial trucks are like a giant box - actually, because of all of the equipment/lighting/armor/etc., they're even worse than a box, because they don't have smooth edges. Taking that aero into account, it would probably take a jet engine to hit even 200 mph.

Beware the voice without a face - Jan 24, 2013 1:54 am GMTThe equation E=1/2*m*v^2 takes a much more major role at high speeds. Although i cannot deny the existence of such massive amount of aerodynamic drag, just purely aero drag is not enough for slowing down a car by that much.

No thanks. I will not pay for cars I already own, and I'm not interested in concept cars that disappeared decades ago.
@ Emilia: I liked most of those until you got to your exotic car pack. Apparently I've been getting groceries in a supercar and didn't even know it, because it just looked like a cheap compact car to me. Also most of that cop car list is a farce.

Nice list but when it comes to that Police List, that's overkill, if anything after the Corvette pursuit cars, they should go with Lamborghini's
