Playing this game is like playing an arcade game from one round to another round, with absolutely no point aside from to race.
I think we can all agree on the ease of unlocking cars, which is a bad thing really.
I miss how I needed to drive a crappy car and modify it, earn money to upgrade and buy new cars a slowly work towards a lambo.
I dont want to be driving one 5 minutes into the game...
The cop chases are a step back from all previous nfs game imo.
I think they nailed it in hot pursuit, where you can actually take action towards the cops with emp, spikes, etc.
Now, its simply cat and mouse chase with no way to fight back.
The worst thing is that getting away from cops are needlessly hard and consumes too much time.
Whereas in the past games you had safe areas to hide until your heat cools down, now there are no way to do that.
Time and time again I am in the cool down period and get rediscovered back to back. Especially on the highway, there are no place to go but straight.
So when I am in cool down, and a cop appears in front of me, I cant go back, I cant move forward, all I can do is to wait to be discovered again.
There are also no more places that you can destroy which causes cop cars behind you to be taken down, like in the old most wanted.
This has turned into chases of luck rather than skills. When you are in cool down, you just hope they dont spawn a cop car in front of you within 5 seconds...
Cop chases are supposed to be FUN. This is frustrating and NOT fun.
Lastly, I dont feel personalized with this game.
In the past I'd buy and own a few cars and win all races with them as I modify them and bond with them.
Now, I am predetermined which cars I can drive to what races. And I am forced to.
Sigh..

So, to summarize the first post, the game is too easy, but parts of it are too hard, but it's not because you're bad at it, it's all the game's fault. Also it gives you too much stuff and you never thought of restricting which stuff you use on your own.
Does your mommy still help you change your underpants?

Driving a crappy car while you work to a Lambo? and just how many previous NFS games have you played?
You obviously didn't play NFS thru NFS Hot Pursuit 2? Cause all the original NFS games started you out in Ferrari's and Lambos from the get go.
Id say the only thing that makes this NFS game NOT feel like a classic NFS game is A, It is open world. B. Missing the Ferrari cars.

I hear you on some of your gripes. I agree on some points.
You need to play Forza Horizon. Its really a lot of fun, you can customize the difficulty settings and its a beautiful game.
Yes, NFSMW can be difficult to damn near impossible just because. There is a fine line between wanting a challenge and fun. I stop at the point where its not fun anymore and purely just frustrating to the point that I want to crack the disc in half or throw my controller at the TV.
The cop chases are a huge step backwards and even some of the races themselves are sometimes based on luck because of the random traffic, spawns, cops and severe rubber band AI.
