speed points glitch?

Hi guys
Have any of you noticed any problems with your speed points? I had just beaten most wanted car 7 played on a bit then turned of my console. Only to find when I got back I was shot away down the most wanted list to number 9 and a lot less speed points. I am now sitting at 260,000 sp but in settings it says I have collected over 400,000 in single player.
