just found out on G4TV.COM criterions need for speed going to be action based?? WTF?? hope like hell guns not going to be on the hood and we're shooting.... another lame NFS....good news is another need for speed will be out in march 2011 hopefully it'll be the ONE!!!

@ SpeedFreak21... While the game leans more towards the simcade side of the spectrum, your statement about 'full racing setup' cars not breaking traction... well, you are just plain wrong. It is a fine line in racing between traction and NO traction. PROFESSIONAL racers slide through many a turn in real races. The ridiculous amounts of horsepower generated by a race car is what breaks the tires loose. If your tires are breaking loose all the time, then you have the throttle pinned too much. This is a great game. Presentation lacks a bit, but overall, I think they hit their mark with what they envisioned. Best Need 4 Speed in years!

they should take the formula of underground to and enhance that for next gen consoles = pure brilliance instead of all this wishy wash arcady games in the series...stick to something and do it right, thats why underground and most wanted were classics..

@ GALRIS if u have hotpursuit2 ferrari's is in the game 3 of them. ferrari F 50 and 550,360 spider,

There is one thing all nfs games miss it is that they never have a ferrari in them and that is so gay

lmao wildamnesia Neither Shift or PGR4 were realistic in any form. Im guessing you have never driven a fast car around a track before. Shift you break traction way to much which is very unrealistic expecially on slicks with full racing setup. A car simply wont break traction in a turn unless pushed to the extremes. As well the tire squeal is far to loud. In the cockpit of a car you wont hear that at all with a full racing car. Both fun games but very unrealistic

This game nails the driving experience. Based on the demos I'd say this 'feels' more realistic than Forza. And that's the all important factor in a racing game; does it feel like you're actually behind the wheel. Both games are chasing PGR4 though which is still laps ahead!

hotrider I know what you mean shift is disappointing what more its frustratingly inaccurate, I love a good sim like forza or GT a good arcade racer is always a must play as long they fun but all this hybrids half sim half arcades are just a joke. It looks like developers are trying to gain few more sales over standard arcade but don't want to put in time and effort to make a proper sim.

Im looking forward to split/sec. til criterion comes out with the next NFS 2010 and Im DAMN hopeing its hotpursuit 3 or highstakes 2 SHIFT was a disapointment. i've played it on easy, moderate, hard still was lame as hell. I've even invited 2 neighbor to try it out first time player and experience player even they said it was wacked and I have a g25 steering wheel to make it easy for them to play. as I score it I gave it a 3.0 for super lameness

JUNOR, try split/sec. when it comes out in 2010 that'll be close to highstakes ever with ENVIORMENT inter-action only thing, no cops awwwwww!!! but it will be crazy cool though.
