First of all let me thank the guys at Bioware for having the idea for such a game and developing it. Great job guys!
I remember back in 2002 when this came out, all my high school colleagues talking about it and saying how great this is. Back then I never played any D& D games and it was really hard to adapt to this king of gameplay. So I decided to play this some other time... and I end up playing it in 2008 and I tell you, it was worth the time!!
By 2008 my dexterity in playing RPG's and other games got a lot better and this permitted me to enjoy this game at the fullest. and that is:
1. The wonderful fantasy atmosphere that this game injects in your mind.
2. The joy of character building
3. The ADVENTURES - very addicting and in great number
4. The wonderful stories
After I finished it along with it's expansions (over 200h gameplay) I realized that it takes a certain state of mind to be able to play this. At first all my friend were like "man are you insane playing this game? look at all that text you are reading! you must be mad!!"
Reading is AWSOME!. Try some Wizards of the Coast publishings! You will love them if you loved NWN!
In conclusion, NWN is a game that blends all the elements you find described in the most meticulously written books, into a masterpiece that runs on PC. Quite outstanding.
Message for the "non-believers": If you find this game to be bad give it another try. If this repeats try again! You won't regret 1 second of gameplay.
People from Bioware are going to produce some of the coolest games in MAN history.

Neverwinter Nights shows that tabletop rules can be used to craft an engaging game on the computer - or two, or more.
