Hmm where to start. Im pretty sure everyone knows how Mario games work these days and NSMB2 is no exception. The remade side scroller series gets a sequel on 3DS. What is new? Nothing. Except for an obsession with coin collecting and a golden flower power up that is fun to use because it makes you very powerful and turns enemies and even blocks into coins.

Gameplay 7- There isnt much to say for gameplay as everyone knows how these games work. This is your typical Mario game, except this one pretty much recycles most everything from New Mario Bros DS and Wii.

Graphics 8- See New Mario Bros Wii. Now you can make the background art slightly further behind the foreground.

Sound 7- See New Mario Bros Wii

Fun Factor 7- I like Mario games, I like playing them with friends, but NSMB2 has the most annoying multiplayer in the series. The camera only focuses on one person, which if it is not centered on you can lead you to a lot of cheap deaths since you cant even see what you are doing. Why Nintendo did this since both people will have their own 3DS blows my mind.

Replay Value 7- Im starting to run out of things to say about Mario games, since it feels like as little as effort as possible is being done to change up the standard platforming formula. The game is not bad, but feels so similar to other Mario games that things are starting to wear really thin.
