This game was really good, just not great. It did have its great moments though. I loved the castles and the final castle. This also was Nintendo Hard at times too. My poor wife had to listen to a lot of F-Bombs being dropped during this game. The art is incredibly beautiful though. It is nice to see Mario in HD for once. I also loved how much this felt like a mix between Mario 3 and Super Mario on the SNES. Very cool. Oh and the new flying squirrel suit is pretty neat too. It really helps you out in a lot of levels. I hope to rent this game again soon so I can complete everything in the game, not just the game itself. I heard there is a star road to unlock which sounds enticing.
BEST GAMING MOMENT: When my wife made a set of stairs for me with the game pad and I leaped over Bowser during the final fight.
WORST GAMING MOMENT: The evil Soda Springs area... die, die and die!
FINAL JUDGEMENT: Totally worth getting on the Wii U. There aren't many good games on it yet so you better get this one at least.

It's yet another familiar entry into the New Super Mario Bros series. But it's definitely the best so far.
