to therukus123, i also have both system in fact i have all 3, but im tired of reading the ps3 sucks the xbox is great, remember the 360 has a year lead and the PS3 has only 2 month out, i had full auto for the 360 and it totally sucks, the graphics, gameplay and everything about it, now i bought full auto 2 and it looks better way better than the 360 version, the xbox 360 was crap in the begining, just wait and see when tiltles like metal gear solid , gran turismo, tekken, virtua fighter, devil may cry, and so on, don't get me wrong i'm also looking foward to some tiltte on the 360 and wii. oh yeah you have 360 right, how many gamer points you have, just the points not the gamertag, because i have 25,545 points on it

ive owned nintendo systems a microsoft system and some sony systems, so you cant call me a fan boy, but this news right here is about the PS3, not XBOX360 or wii. For all xbox360 and wii owners that come in here and talk about how there system is better in some way that means they are a TROLL and should stay out.

21 games by the end of this year is not so bad at all. I mean at least the PS3 are pretty well made and there hasn't really been any bad reports about hardware issues. I'm got my Xbox360 and i'm waiting to get my PS3 till i can walk to a store without any stress and buy it.

I just have one question ... all I need is one simple answer ... How many titles will be available at the TIME of the launch on Friday? If it is anything less than 15 then that just sucks ... period. They had an entire year after watching the underwhelming launch of titles for the 360 to make this launch truly special ... and THEY BLEW IT.

Only 2 or 3 of them will be worth buying.

a good start softwarre wise for the end of the year but point well taken Scream, if they don't make more consoles available, they will hav problems.

The last few console launches have s*cked hard, either because of hardware issues (defective, allotment, etc.) or launch titles (Eternal Ring - PS2, Perfect Dark - X360, Luigi's Mansion - GC). Let's see what the Wii does with Zelda.

It's free if you don't want to play games online but want to download demos and trailers and XBLA games, $50 per year if you want everything. 2) No one knows if either HD DVD format will become the standard media disc. Because of the increased capacity, it will probably become common on PCs. But downloadable movies, DVRs, and, eventually, flash or some other solid state memory media are either already or very soon to take the wind out of DVD's sails. Storage tech is advancing so quickly now, by the time the HD DVD "format war" is settled, consumers will be moving on to something faster, bigger, and more convenient. HD DVDs will not have the same overwhelming success as the original DVD did. It will have its place for a few years, and then will fade away. And this doesn't even take into consideration consumer burnout with constantly having to upgrade their hardware (my first DVD player still works fine after 9 years) and replace their media libraries. At some point, people will stop buying the next gen of hardware because they've been burned too many times already.

MetalGearVirgil, you are talking out of your a*se. The PS3 does not have better specs, they are virtually the same as 360, in some ways less powerful, the 360s graphics processor is more advanced. And as for online, are you having a laugh, Xbox Live is years ahead, the PS3 will have those crappy laggy gamespy servers, seperate friends list for each game, no wonder its free.

Most of those don't interest me, and the ones that do are on 360.

The reviewer said that the PS3's framerate was pummeled harder than the xbox360 version. That's a surprise considering that the PS3 is slightly more powerful. However, the PS3 has less memory. So memory could be the cause of the horrible framerate.

Fear. PC. Oblivion. PC. The only thing Im interested in is Gundam and Sonic which is on the 360. Looks like I wont be buying PS3 for awhile.

first of all the launches are awesome they have 2 already popular games (FEAR and Oblivion) they have 2 highly anticipated games that r coming out for at least 2 of the 3 nextgen consoles (CoD3, Rainbow6) and they have the REALLY original game Resistance; that and its goin to have all them sports games EA likes to make. Second, all the consoles do offer some good things the Wii which is not exactly next gen but Nintendo did what it did with the DS it put something into games that no one else thought about it added motion senceing to the max and i think if the graphics were better it would blow everything out the water, xbox360 is the next-gen that came out early and got its start way before the other 2 consoles it has a great serious of games and a obvious fanbase it may not be as powerfull as the ps3 but it still looks remarkibaly close to the PS3s graphics Ps3 has something good to offer from both systems it has Wii's motion senceing and xboxs online not to mention the best spects, sony also has a big fanbase securing its place on the market, ohh ya it also has MGS and DMC and FF Last of all the Ps3 and the Xbox360 war thats goin on i say that the PS3 wins because it has a better visuals as a whole not just image by image but the frame rate and the textures. the xbox has had a longer time for developers to figure out how to make the games and they look close to the launch games of the ps3 so the PS3 will start to seriously take off. Ohh yeah the price thing, the Wii is the best for the money hands down, but the Xbox is not what its cracked up to be it doesnt play movies in high def(w/o the extra $200) u also have to buy the controller charger and then u pay for live which is at least $100 dollars a year; which with live alone will cost as much as the PS3 (who copied Xboxes online but for free). One last thing, the Blue-ray disc is being advertised so much by Sony because the sonys game division is there biggest cash crop (unlike microsoft, sony doesnt have soft ware in about every house and business in the country). Sony can use all the royalties and everything. Just take the technology it has and quiet whining that we dont need it the fact is that its better than the DVD and it will eventually become the new house hold media disc, and dont use sonys past with new things this one is going to be popular because its goin to be on the PS3

i agree leon trunks It's has two games that are considered some of the best for the 360 on launch.

hey there lineup is actually better than the 360s (cmon u gotta admit kameo was a childish game and their sports games sucked). the ps3 has fear oblivion, r6 vegas, resistence and the new sports games, i got nba live 4 360 and it was horrible, i have madden 07 for 360 and its awesome. also ps3 has cod3, most of these 3rd party games highly anticipated on 360. and the new fight night is said to be much much bettert than the 360 outing

ne one see mgs4 vs halo3 that will be awesome but for now resistence vs gow (gow for graphics and maybe story, resistence for gameplay and online)

Wow, did I start a storm... my point with the launch titles is this, when you delay your system 7 months, you should have some absolutely KILLER APPS. And, yes, $500 is still too much, espically since it only comes with a 20GB HDD, which, sorry, isn't any better than the 360, you guys really gotta focus here, gaming is about the games, if you want a good server, than the PS3 is your choice. How much power a system has shouldn't be a selling point. If I do recall, the Sega Saturn was a much more powerful system than the PS1 on paper, however it was too complicated to develop on, while the PS1 was developer friendly. I feel bad for people that love Sony, because they are getting royaly screwed, and are having to put up with Sony's inability to launch this system properly. I've said time and time again, I was eagerly awaiting this system, but since I have no alligence to any company, the excitement was quickly overcome with dissapointment and frustration, which, after the list of launch titles was released, was overcome by not caring, because there aren't any great games coming out right away, anyways.

Only get a ps3 when mgs4 comes out :P

I can't wait to get my ps3. I?m also getting a Wii, and I love my 360. All the systems are great, in their own whey. Reading the blogs, I see GOW vs resistance, 360 vs ps3. I think their all good in their own whey, and they all have very good titles, that will bring unique game play to the table. I?m sure you'll have a great time, in whatever system you get. Each system has its strength and not much weakness. Wii is going to be small energy efficient, inexpensive for most and simple along, with its revolutionary controller, with must have titles, like red steel and zelda. The 360, has more then satisfying graphics, and is truly a proven system with proven online capabilities. Overall the 360 is best I think, if you?re into playing online and gamer cores, plus the camera really make it more my space ish. Finally, even though theirs a lot of PS3 haters. I think Sony will win us over once again. just look at all your getting for $100 dollars more over the 360, HTMI, hard drive, blue ray, online capabilities with Linux OS, wifi connection built in, online store that rivals the MS marketplace. The cell processor combined with RSX, and Bluetooth motion senc controller, yes it?s not as snazzy as the wiimote, but its better then nothing. Sony is in it for the long hall. Simply put, the Wii should be fun for every one and its inexpensive. The 360 has online greatness. PS3 is raw horsepower, and pure entertainment. If hardeware specs is all that matters to you, here they are. Wii 733mhg cpu 243mhv gpu and 88mbs of ram. with double layer dvd format. 360 overall system processing is 1 tflop =10 ghz with 512ram doule layer dvd format. PS3 overall system processing 2.6 tflop = 26ghz with 64 more shaters with 512 ram with BD format with 25g's and in 1080p. Easily, the most powerful. So clearly all these system are great buys and are all in all great values, Simply put

Cant everyone just love everyone! I own a 360 and will get a Wii and a PS3. Each system offers its own traits. Each has has its own unique games that only come out for that system. Though I like Sony more I wound up playing the Xbox more because of the hard rive an my cheapness to not go out and buy more than two memory cards for the ps2 after I wasted $100 bucks on the sony HDD. Whatever system proves to be better wil lbe the one I will paly more. It is way too early to decide not even have played the PS3 or Wii. ANd more to the point no launch games are ever that good. The 360 has been out for a year and we are just starting to get really good games for it.
