3DS Ambassador GBA games released

I got my 10 free GBA games having a blast with them. Now I hope Nintendo will release some more awesome GBA games in the eshop. Like Pokemon, Golden Suns, Legend of Zelda Ocarle of Ages/Seasons and Pokemon Blue, Red, and Yellow. And still waiting on those games. I pray they do them

I remember looking down the list going "meh" but then I played Fire Emblem. Wow, didn't expect it to be that good.

I love that these are actually good games, Nintendo could've given away crap games but they actually gave us awesome games like minish cap and yoshi's island

as awesome as this is, I can't help but feel left out seeing as I haven't been able to afford one until now. If they at least had plans to release the games to the general public I'd feel appeased. @1MetalMusicMan1 ahahaha, yeah you obviously have no idea how it works.

Pretty awesome stuff. I still have all of my GBA games which include 4 of these, but I noticed a couple of years ago that my Metroid Fusion cartridges' battery was done for since I couldn't save anymore. I kinda wish they would have provided a list of 20 games that we could have chosen 10 from. I was a big fan of the GBA back in high school and have 2 GBAs, 1 GBA SP, and 2 DS Lites so there are a few games that I would have rather had like Breath of Fire, Golden Sun, Final Fantasy Tactics, Pokemon, Tactics Ogre (Hmm, guess I really liked them RPGs on the GBA XD).

I must admit the ambassador program has been nothing short of awesome for us early adoptees. Plus i feel with the release of the mario games and one or two 3rd party crackers, the console is starting to take off in my ey!es and everyone elses judging by current sales firgures. so woooott for ninty

@kiramasaki You could, but none of those games would work with your 3DS, as it doesn't have a GBA cartridge slot. You'd be getting something of "actual value" that you couldn't play.

Excellent. Good list of games. Nintendo really didn't have to give anything to the people who bought the 3DS at launch. Giving 20 games that would probably sell for $5 to $8 on the Virtual Console is quite generous, given that the price cut was only $80.

Anyone else notice the irony in that during the 25th anniversary of the Zelda franchise Nintendo starts an ambassador program with three Zelda games the same year.

So far, my only issues with the games are... 1) Why can't we suspend the game to go to Home and visit the Browser, Notifications, etc.? 2) It would have been really awesome if they tweaked the games to allow for local wireless play between 3DS to 3DS, even better if it's with Download Play.

@VirtualTofu What? :( To me Super Mario Advance 3/Yoshi's Island is one of the best Mario games, almost as good as Super Mario World. Too bad I really enjoyed that truly awesome game. It's actually the only one of the 10 I've ever played.

6 hours into fire emblem and it's only just begun

Seems like all the fan-boys that bought the system when it was over priced would already have these games. I don't mean to sound mean, but these seem like the basics.

Sweet! I lost my copy of Mario Kart, I played Minish Cap but never owned it, and I never got the chance to play the others. Nintendo has just made my Christmas!

Yeah you can get these games, but you won't be able to play them on the 3ds the cartridge is too big. You'd have to shell out some more money for a GBA and all of these games, and who wants a used 3ds? not me.

Glad I didnt wast 250 bucks on the 3ds. I can get a used 3ds on the market for under 130, and buy real copies of those games, and get something of actual value. But I suppose a fool who parts with his money has to console himself somehow.

Glad I got my 3DS early. Great list of games, much better then the majority of the first wave. Now I'm just waiting for RE: Revelations and an EU release of Monster Hunter.

Now I can officially say that I'm a proud 3DS ambassador.And I lol at those who regretted getting the 3DS after the price cut. :P

Never got to play Fire Emblem: SS and Zelda: MC, so... yay! Metroid Fusion is freaking fantastic to have on the 3DS too.

@ Silos911 If you like Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land then you should definitely download 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure on 3DSWare considering Nightmare in Dream Land was the remake of Kirby's Adventure. The release of that game was probably the reason why Nintendo choose Kirby and the Amazing Mirror as one of the GBA Ambassador title over Nightmare in Dream Land. Can't have the same game at the same time.

I wish we got Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland instead of Amazing Mirror. I have played and beaten both, and I think nightmare in Dreamland is the better game. Not a big deal, it's a free game and I can't really complain especially considering the other nine are great. Thanks Nintendo.

Finally! Ive really been looking forward to the final wave of free games

I've beaten Metroid Fusion at least 5 or 6 times,and yet I'm STILL pumped for it every time I turn it on.Now I carry it with me everywhere I go. And Yoshi's Island was always one of my very favorite games of all time on the SNES,now I have it too.Plus,I missed out on some of these titles,so I'm glad I can go back and enjoy them retro style. Thank you very much Nintendo!

I can understand all the people who wanted these games to be sold on the e-Shop. However, you have to remember that these GBA games are not 'polished' yet: it doesn't have a save state, doesn't work with 'sleep mode' for the 3DS, no multiplayer functionality, no screen resolution adjustment and the GBA emulator may not be stable at the moment. Rushing these games to be offered to the e-Shop would be a PR disaster for the Big N when they cannot offer anymore GBA games for months due to bugs in the software. Hopefully, something will be announced by next year at E3 regarding the 3DS e-shop.

Man GBA games are harder than the DS 3DS games. Love the challenge. Metroid Fusion has like a secret in like every room that it is crazy. Mario Kart and F-Zero are challenging and Yoshi's Island has expected difficulty. / Wario land 4 is okay and I need to try the rest.

I'm glad that of all those ten titles only one is a port (Yoshi's Island) whereas the rest are actually GBA exclusive titles.

this was great for me since i had none of these games - much better than the nes games ill try them all but racings games are really not my thing

I really think they should put nes and super nes and gamecube just like they did on will. Or they need to do make small ports of it and this could be aslo be the part selling the 3DS even more , Nindendo and gamespot plz make it happen and aslo GBA games as well.

I know I paid the reduced price for my 3ds and all but I would LOVE to BUY some of these on the eshop, why wouldn't they release them? It cant be a space issue, these games would sell much better than some of the crap on the eshop right now. Oh well....I guess I should have filled a form out, even though I didn't have one at the time.....=(

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (Never cared to play and still don't) F-Zero Maximum Velocity: (Favorite F-Zero game, recently traded in) Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (My bro will love this) The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (A great game I owned twice, but never beat; Still own a cartridge) Mario Kart Super Circuit (Never played it until I got a copy for $4 45 days ago and recently sold due to the 3DS version coming out) Mario Vs Donkey Kong (Always interested in playing, but never shelled ouf the money for it) Metroid Fusion (My favorite Metroid game; owned it twice before) Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island (Never played it utnil around June on SNES for $10. Decent game, but certainly not a real Mario game) Warior Land 4 (I remember beating this game within 2-3 days, but it took a week to get 100% on it) Warioware, Inc.: Mega Microgames (My bro has this game and I admit, I love it. This one will keep me playing 3DS after every other game is completed)
