3DS US day-one launch lineup confirmed

@kamichamadude For you it's easy, but in the country I live in it will be extremely expensive, and I really don't want to spend a lot of money on something that I will have to trade in 6 months.

Street Fighter and Samurai Warriors.

I'm planning on getting Street Fighter and Nintendogs Golden Retriever and friends. I'm also thinking Samurai Warriors to have a different game from the other two on the 3DS. i was debating another one, Steel Driver. Wondering if i should get that. The first Two or three I'll reserve but Steel Driver, I'd get it when it's out.

Bad launch line up? Are U all nuts? The fallowing are great games here: Ghost Recon SHadow Wars, Super Monkey Ball 3D, Super Street Fighter 3D, Lego Star Wars 3 The Clone Wars, Asphalt 3D, and Rayman 3D are all great games........... U only got a month before more killer titles hit the shelves for the system, IE Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid, Mario Kart 3DS, A new Metroid game........ StarFox 64 3D! Buy day one, and be happy with the games U will own, I for one plan on getting the fallowing: Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars, Super Streetfighter 5 3D, and Ghost Recon Shadow Wars.......... Those can hold me for a month then I can get Splinter Cell, for the love of god man, they are pouting a Pokemon Colusim game, and a Medal of Honor title, plus ready for this? A new Kurby, and Donky Kong game! Read up! All true!

No games I'm interested in at all... Already played Super Street Fighter IV on the PS3, and I have Marvel vs Capcom 3 for my fighting needs anyways. Maybe Samurai Warriors? Meh, they all look... Crappy >_> I think I'm just gonna wait until Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked comes out. Also waiting for Kingdom Hearts [Dream Drop Distance].

pfft im only really looking forward to Zelda: Ocarina of Time so i will just wait for that

There's only two games I want on this entire list, Rayman 3D and Street Fighter 4. Other than that I guess Im just gonna have to wait for the better games to come out.

I want to get it on launch but the lineup looks kinda weak. Only game I want is Street Fighter...

I'm just going to get the 3DS on launch day and wait for the good games to come out.

@dawnofhero Since when does Nintendo announce that there will be an updated version of a system before the original is even released? They wouldn't sell any of the original 3DS. And although I believe it's a weak launch lineup, I am looking forward to games like Metal Gear Solid, Star Fox, and others that are coming soon.

@drumma1 There are currently no plans for a 3DS Lite, i, or iXL. Even Nintendo admits that. And just because the launch window isn't super exciting doesn't mean you ditch the system. There will be better-looking games come summer/autumn.

im a bit skint at the moment so gunna wait for a couple more games befor i dive in.

Don't worry people this is just the first few weeks and than DOA comes out the 7th and after that more games will be shown to us and you will be so happy and glad that you have a 3DS. I am gonna spend th 27th playing SF and maybe ridge racer only to pick up DOA a few days after. No complaints there.

@danielmbg They probably will make a lite or whatever but who wants to wait for that? Especially since I'm sure game stop will have deals allowing you to trade in your old one.

I wonder how many addicted 3DS players went 10+ hours on the 3DS on Day One? How many of them checked into emergency hospitals? +_+

First day at gamestop Im going to be in the store trying this thing out. I've never wanted a handheld (except for the massive rpgs released on them). A hand held with 3D changes everything though.

The only thing I'm even slightly interested in is the Samurai Warriors game. And that could have wound up on any system for me to buy it. I am not impressed Nintendo.

Dear Nintendo, I will not buy your new system until I have Zelda. Thank you.

One of the worst console launches in recent memory. Awful.

Pilotwings resort has me sold. If it weren't for this long awaited sequel I would probably wait it out until more interesting titles came along. Its coming up on 15 years since the last pilotwings... Not sure why it took such a long time?

@kamichamadude You do have a point, the 3DS is a very impressive system from what i can see. I just can't decide if it's worth buying right away, considering the launch is weak and a new version will come out eventually.

Such a small and uninteresting lineup. Reminds me of the psp's launch titles...

These launch titles are not exactly what I expected. They are pretty much a let down. I will just get Pokemon White if I get my 3DS around launch time.

surely the first and third party seems to lack of some fan games but it can conpense while waiting for the BIG games to come like the legend of zelda ocarina of time or resident evil the mercenaries or even resident evil revelations that myself i would buy! either way im buying the nintendo 3ds blue at first day lunch on a pre order

@drumma1 @danielmbg Oh I know they will I'm just saying that it wont be for a while just because they did so many things right with the system already. So it's not worth using in an argument that you are going to wait for the successor to the unreleased DS successor. @soraisthekey734 Yes it just gets annoying hearing the same thing over and over. @kamichamadude THANK YOU! I like where you are coming from and i too (as you can tell from my username and pic) can't wait for kingdom hearts 3d and Kid icarus etc. Nice to see i am not the only one who has noticed all of these same old rants over and over.=)

I agree with UndeadxSpartan, Zelda, Mario, and Resident evil. I also might get professor layton and Street fighter. I will probably get even more later on.

@dawnofhero @kamichamadude I didn't literrally mean a 3DSi lite. What i ment was that Nintendo will most likely release another version of the 3DS in the future, just as they have done with the past DS versions (DS, DS lite, DSi)

I'm mostly getting the 3DS for Mario, Zelda, and Resident Evil games but none of them are coming out on the release date :( ... I was really wanting Zelda Ocarina of Time and Resident Evil the Mercenaries on the release date

@kamichamadude I Think they will have to make a 3DS Lite version, not just because of the size. But every system has some hardware problems at the beginning. And the battery longs just 5 hours, it's almost nothing. They will have to fix it. And as you know almost all consoles made a Slim version of the previous one. They will do this too, just don't know when. And the games look nice, but nothing spectacular. They should start with the best Nintendo game, POKEMON. Pokemon in 3D you be really amazing.

People are being stupid. Who cares if the lineup is horrible. If you have DS games, play those until a game you want comes out. Using that as an excuse not to get a 3DS is just ugh.

Oh and... @drumma1 It's smaller than a DSi, and larger than a DS Lite, it has 3 Cameras and a webshop and browser.... The only thing Nintendo could do is 3DS LL/XL

@soraisthekey734 Obviously someone on this site does their research. Iwata has already stated their will be no short-term plans for a 3DS Lite/3DSi. He said that Nintendo had learned what to, and what not to do with this system. Everytime I hear someone saay I'll wait for the 3DS lite, I just giggle and say to myself, "haha while you sit their with your DS I'll be playing Mario Kart, Kid Icarus, Kingdom Hearts 3D, and a bunch a great games" Point... Don't use Nintendo's past to predict their future. oh and... @ poopinpat SSIV 3D E, as well as a few others are great launch games, and the only reason their are so few is because Nintendo wanted the 3DS out before E3 to let it soak in so people would understand the power come E3 and huge developers announce High Budget games w/o skepticism about if the 3DS actually works... Which it does... Rant over...

i think its hilarious that the best looking launch title is sf4 and its not even an original title. thumbs down for 3ds from me.

@drumma1 Yeah, in your dreams Nintendo will make a 3DSi Lite. If that were the case for some odd reason, the system would be as thin as a piece of cardboard! I mean seriously, what's to thin down? The 3DS is slightly shorter than the DSi for crying out loud, so there is no reason for it to get any smaller!

I agree the lineup isn't that impressive but, I'm still not canceling my pre-order. I'm sick of people who probably still on their rinky-dink ds or ds lite posting that it is not "impressive enough". WELL THEN STICK WITH YOUR CRAP AND DON'T TALK! You obviously can't afford the 3ds if you are gonna keep saying the other generations are better which believe me do not EVEN COME CLOSE! Oh, and guys on another note i'm not a nintendo fanboy. I actually see where u guys are coming from. Also, there WILL BE NO "3dsi" or "3dsixl". Stop saying that "we all are expecting it" becuz nintendo said themselves that it's its OWN SYSTEM. *Sigh* Sorry to be a bit harsh but this is the truth. Anyway, definately gonna get Super Street Fighter 4. It looks like the most promising launch title.

Even though I have preordered the 3ds, I still plan to keep my ds lite. Even if they come out with a new version of the 3ds, I feel my decision was for the best, at least for me.

unfortunately, this isn't an intriguing starting lineup to me. plus, in a year or so, the 3DSi lite will have been announceed, so i might as well just wait

I loved Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs on the Original DS, Suddenly the 3DS has become interesting for me, Shame there isn't a Mario game in there though.

I will buy it as soon as I see Advance Wars 3DS.

This system is really gonna have to sell me their products if I'm gonna spend almost 300$ worth. If they somehow miraculously announce a Monster Hunter 3d or Elder Scrolls 3d.. I will pick this game up at launch, so far the games seem "eh" at most. Nintendo has to pick my investment on this, so far I'm better off with my DS Lite.

I am definitely NOT waiting until after launch of the 3DS. After the Wii and DS shortages in the past, I know to get my 3DS at launch if I can! These launch games should be good enough to last me a while until more games come out.

Im thinking samurai warriors or pilot wings resort. i liked the plane flying in wii sports resort but in pilot wings youre flying around the exact same island so that might make it boring.
