Retail Radar: EA Replay 2, Guitar Hits
PSP product listings spotted for second Electronic Arts compilation and Ubisoft guitar-teaching series.
Last August, GameStop's online store leaked word of EA Replay, an Electronic Arts retro compilation slated for a PlayStation Portable release by the end of the year. The Web site's product listing was fairly informative, giving a complete list of 14 games included in the collection, as well as a list of bonus features.
Over the break, GameStop hosted a product listing for EA Replay 2 on the PSP but neglected to give any details on the collection except for the expected release date and price (February 19 and $29.99). While GameStop pulled the product page from its own site, as of press time there is still a GameStop-branded listing for EA Replay 2 at Barnes & Noble's online store.
Another pair of unannounced PSP games were spotted on GameStop's site. The retailer is accepting preorders for Guitar Hits from Ubisoft (February 27, $29.99) and Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road from Atari (March 20, $39.99). Another Road would be a follow-up to last year's original Shin Budokai on the PSP, but the nature of Guitar Hits is a little less clear. Ubisoft previously used the Guitar Hits name for a series of multimedia PC products that would teach users to play guitar with a combination of tablature and technique videos. GameStop is listing the genre of Guitar Hits for the PSP as "simulation."
Please note, while retailer listings frequently jump the gun on publishers' product announcements, they should not be taken as final confirmation of a game's existence; nor should the absence of a listing be considered as proof that a game isn't coming to a given platform.
