Retail Radar: Dark Messiah on 360, Sims 2: Celebration Stuff
CD Universe opens up preorders for a console version of Ubisoft's Might and Magic-based PC first-person action game and a new add-on for EA's virtual life series.
The Might and Magic franchise has not been seen on consoles since before its previous publisher 3DO went bankrupt, but it appears current rights-holder Ubisoft could be planning to bring the swords-and-sorcery series back to the living room.
A product listing has appeared on CD Universe for an Xbox 360 edition of Ubisoft's Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. The second game in the franchise released by the publisher after Heroes of Might and Magic V, Dark Messiah is a first-person shooter that leans away from the series' role-playing roots.
On the other end of the spectrum (but still found in a CD Universe listing) is The Sims 2: Celebration Stuff. No details about the game are given, but with a retail price under $20 and considering the series' naming conventions, the add-on would likely be a gathering of new items along the lines of Holiday Fun Stuff, instead of a full-blown expansion pack with new features like The Sims 2: Pets.
Please note, while retailer listings frequently jump the gun on publishers' product announcements, they should not be taken as final confirmation of a game's existence; nor should the absence of a listing be considered as proof that a game isn't coming to a given platform.
