The Force won't be unleashed until spring '08
New Star Wars lost in space, won't make its November 2007 date; game pushed back to Q2 2008.
The disturbance in the Force felt today by the legions of Star Wars fans wasn't the destruction of planet Alderaan or George Lucas considering a Super Special Edition of the original trilogy. The eerie feeling came from the LucasArts galaxy, where the developer announced that the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was being delayed.
Less than a month ago, LucasArts posted a ship date of November 2007 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo DS game on the game's official Web site. However, representatives from LucasArts today told GameSpot that the game would now ship in spring 2008. The game's Web site lists its availability date as "TBD."
LucasArts did not mention any reason for the delay. For more information on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
