Haze PC and 360 drop off the map

Ubisoft confirms that only the PS3 version of futuristic FPS is currently in development, no plans to bring it to any other platforms.

Ubisoft has told GameSpot that First Radical's sci-fi first-person shooter Haze is now being planned solely for Sony's PlayStation 3 platform.

Originally, Haze was slated as a multiplatform release for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 this spring. However, in May, Ubisoft announced that the PS3 had become the "lead platform" for the title and that the game would be released in November only for the PS3. At that time, Ubisoft noted that "no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced."

Today, Ubisoft amended its statement, saying that currently only the PS3 version of Free Radical's shooter is in development. The France-based publisher also noted that it was still leaving the door open in the future for "new partnerships," but currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, "The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."

The Web sites of both Free Radical and the official Haze site now only list the PS3 version of the game.

    wow, i never thought of this happening, the game its alright but not that special to be for PS3 only. Im currently playing it and its not that big of a deal! But it seems like they have more spectations from the PS3 even tho they couldve made more money taking it out for all other consoles.

    usually ubisoft be multi platform i think they will make it for xbox and pc in the future thats if they actually want some sales.

    I played the demo. It wasn't very good. The graphics are not on the same level as Halo 3 or COD4. The enemy AI is lacking. The level design was very generic and linear. When I ran out of nector it was hard to see the enemy, although, luckily they would run to cover and stay in the same spot. It is only a Demo, so hopefully the final product is better. If not, that's probably the reason why the pc and 360 versions were scrapped.

    Later in 2007, Gamepro Magazine said that the game was going to loose exclusiveness to the PS3 and also arrive on the XBOX 360. Now I have no idea.

    well seeing as the 360 already has a plethora of incredible shooters, i guess MS saw that this wasnt that much of a standout after all... just looks like far cry 2 but not as good. well we now get splinter cell conviction exclusive, which looks like modern day assassins creed, so im not crying home to my ps3 mates

    Who cares, by the looks of this game its not bringing anything new to the table, and with the alreeady super fps games like COD4, Crysis, TCRSV2, Far Cry2, Time Shift, ... need I go on? This game is just going to flop in sales, so the publishers are smart, the know that ps3 fans are hungry for fps games, and that who ther'e going to market this average too.

    The term Halo killer is daft. It's a reasonable shooter masquerading as a great one thanks to a well supported online community. UT and UT04 are more enjoyable in my honest opinion.

    Yes this proves to you **** that PS3 is as good as any system and anyway it was gonna be a PS3 exclusive anyways. A game called Haze on 360 will ruin everything because this is the Halo killer. Why would they put the Halo killer on the 360 if it would kill Halo?? This is a PS3 type game not 360. Sony is good. Thank you Ubisft! And they will make a lot of profit.

    Finally an exclusive game for the ps3, I have both 360 and ps3 but just got tired of choosing the same game for one console its stupid how 360 has more exclusive games and the other publishers abandoned the ps3 (DMC4, ACE COMBAT,mercs 2, Final Fantasy,and even ASSASSIN CREED) just because 360 sold more then the ps3. But thats just business
    try to make Money.

    wow is this dense or what???? Its the lead console for the production of haze, there not even trying to put this game on 360 yet. Thats what that is. but really fanboy the wii is on top, I havn't been able to get a wii without standing in some rediculous line. I got the 360 and the ps3 right when they came out. Honestly tho. this game looks amazing even if it is "a dumbed down version of CRYSIS." Which no single video card can handle, so crysis is "dumbed down" to its lowest settings in 720p and 1080p to run smooth, that is unless you want to spend more than all three consoles worth of money on a new Motherboard and Processor, and 2 video cards for a pc! I really can't wait to see if this game is as amazing as the gameplay videos look, if it is I will throw down the crysis, and be stuck on this game for months. That my friends, is no BS.

    This will probably come to the 360/PC, that's expected. This is just one shooter on the ps3, Ubisoft knows they won't profit enough even though they want this to be ps3 exclusive, if resistance sold 2million then this will sell lower.

    ubisoft are going to lose a shed load of money if they only release this game on ps3 only, everybody knows (even the sony fanboys (yousuck you casual gamers)) ps3 is going down, even the ps2 is still outselling its bigger brother and, lets face it, unlike cod4, haze is no halo 3 killer.unfortunately it could spell the end for free radical and that my friends would be a real shame.

    That's still not official. Yeah, he didn't say anything about it coming out to the 360, but he also didn't say if it will though either. The 360 still has a bigger audiance, which means more money for Ubisoft if they do decide to release it later on for the 360, which I could see them doing. Look at Assassins Creed.

    I can't really complain, actually i got my brand new ps3 at the store 60 gig, for 300$ including taxes, just coz i gave them my ps2 and some old games i was not playing anymore, anyway what's the point of having a ps2 when you can run the games on ur ps3, and so far I really enjoy my ps3 and im waiting to get haze, i wanna play that game 4 players coop campain sounds fun

    i agree with booze11, ps3 and the xbox 360 are both good games consoles, both deserve good games, yes the 360 has had a few more exclusives recently but in my opinion why have exclusives in the first place, doesn't it just fuel the petty spats between console owners?

    lol, it was about time, the poor sony deserves it, xbox 360 gets all the good games and ubisoft decided that ps3 could at least get one good exclusive title or maybe not, ONLY THE REVIEWS WILL TELL
