Last Thursday, the gluttony-based strategy game Fat Princess hit the PlayStation Network for $15 in the US and £11.99 in the UK. Though many gamers have been happily stuffing cake to portly royals all weekend, some have reported issues with lag and connection failures to developer Titan Studios.

On Titan's blog, the developer has admitted that players are "experiencing significant lag in some games." The problem appears to stem from a buggy matchmaking system that isn't picking the right servers--those with a lower ping--to play on. A fix for the problem is currently in testing by Titan, though it hasn't mentioned when this will be implemented.

A fix for the connection issues some gamers have been having is also in the works. Although the developer did not offer any details on the problem, a patch is currently being tested, which appears to solve the issues. Again no time frame was mentioned for the release of the patch, but Titan are "working with Sony now to get the patch into the Sony testing process as soon as possible."

    This game would be worthy of a 10 if I could actually find a game online when i try to jump into one or search for one but im always just taken back to the main menu....

    Fat princess is a great no brainer game, its good that theyre working to improve it.

    I haven't had any major issues with it. It failed to connect to a host one time, but I wouldn't have even noticed if it weren't such a big topic of conversation in gaming this week. I'm glad they're fixing whatever is wrong with it though. It's an awesome game. Kinda like Gauntlet meets Team Fortress.

    hope its within this month i cant even connect to play with most of my friends & they only live a couple miles away
    im tired of playing random games with people i dont know
    also sick of matches filled with bots (they suck)
    love this game though, so ill be patient

    Despite these issues, when the game does work, it works great! This is the most addictive and funnest downloadable i have ever bought! When the connection issue is resolved it will be even better! BUY THIS!! Its a no brainer!

    I bought it 14 h ago and even thou ther weher some problem like not connect to a game, but when I came in I hade so much fun that the hole connecting issue was nothing to me.

    Yep agree with all the posts on here. It's an absolute blast when you get online, but some days I seem to be able to get onto online matches no problem and others it's impossible (like tonight!). Pure class though, not anything else like it out there at the moment! Rock on Fat Princess!!

    Good news and good to hear they are addressing this right away, thats class. Ive had issues getting into games but not many lag issues. No lag at all is ideal so Im sure thats what they are pursuing. Glad some publishers back their game up. I bought that POS Cell Factor: Psychokinetic Wars and successfully got into one online game.. ever. Losers don't back their products up, Fat Princess dev's clearly are not.

    I've not played this game too much but during some of my online sessions I did get a bit of lag, but I just thought that was my internet... But whatever, this game is genius anyway!

    Okay at least they are acknowledging the trouble, and it's good they are quick out with stating a patch will be out... because frankly it's too bad that an otherwise very enjoyable game is ruined by lag and connection troubles(1/6-7 quick match searches is a success).

    I love Fat Princess and any fixes will only make a great game that much better. I have had issues with getting on games but I've fixed that by hosting my own games.

    I really hope the patch comes out soon, I hope it will solve all the lag and connection problems, its blocking alot of players from playing this game.

    12 pound is alot for this game which is equivalent to 25$ but here in north america we get it for a mere 15 dollar which is a good price for this game.

    This game would be so much better if you could play with your friends on the same system. Its so much fun but online is almost impossible to connect t for me and it sucks my friends cant play on the same system.

    I wish they used that time and also inserted split screen capabilities to that game.

    Other than that it's a great game, but the lack of local ultiplayer really hurts a tittle of this nature.
