More than a decade after the arcade version of Street Fighter III first started chokin' down tokens, the fourth proper installment in Capcom's classic brawling franchise has reportedly arrived on US shores. As pointed out by SDTekken, a Tekken fan site for San Diego-based players, Street Fighter IV is available for play at Super Arcade in Walnut, a Los Angeles suburb.
GameSpot's call to the arcade had not been returned as of press time, but the report was backed up by users on the fighter-focused fansite Shoryuken.com. However, Street Fighter faithful may want to wait a bit before making a pilgrimage to Super Arcade. Multiple posts on Shoryuken have indicated problems with the game, including a lack of HD displays and unresponsive joysticks.
Those who don't happen to live near Walnut (or any representative of the increasingly rare species known as the American arcade) may be comforted to know that Street Fighter IV is headed to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC early next year.
