If you've managed to follow the UK sales charts over the past couple of weeks without managing to pass out from boredom, then have we got some exciting news for you! Wii Fit is number one, again! 
Wii Fit's ultimate goal of training a league of Nintendo-pedaling super heroes was almost complete.
OK so it's not that exciting, but Wii Fit's dominance in the UK chart has landed the Nintendo peripheral a seventh consecutive week at number one, marking its sixteenth in the top spot overall, and putting it two weeks away from beating the record holder—that well-known classic videogame adaptation of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
The success of Wii Fit has lead to some pretty substantial profits at Nintendo, along with some frightening sales figures, with the balance board managing to hit a lifetime total 18.22 million units shipped worldwide. The figures are all the more impressive considering Wii Fit is an add-on peripheral that sells at double the price of most games - the board has even surpassed lifetime sales for Halo 3, Microsoft's biggest selling game.
The rest of the chart is standard UK fare, with the usual suspects of FIFA09, Wii Play, and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games all making appearances. The only new entry this week is Battlestations: Pacific, which makes its debut at number 10, and rounds off yet another trip to dullsville for the chart.
Now to just find all those people buying Mario and Sonic and get them to buy some interesting games…
