Acclaim ships two for the GameCube
Two of Acclaim's GameCube launch games are shipped to retailers.
Acclaim has shipped two games for the launch of the Nintendo GameCube. Both Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and Crazy Taxi will be available on store shelves ahead of the console's November 18 launch. Developed by Z-Axis, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 lets players ride through 10 interactive levels, including two new GameCube-exclusive levels in Venice, Italy, and Greenville, N.C. Crazy Taxi is port of Sega's innovative driving game featuring fast-paced arcade-style action.
"Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 has set the standard for next-generation BMX games and is one of the strongest performing brands in the extreme sports category today,'' said Steve Felsen, senior director of brand management at Acclaim. "With its unparalleled gameplay, dynamic graphics, and two additional exclusive levels, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 is a must-have game for all owners of the Nintendo GameCube.''
"Crazy Taxi continues to be one of our strongest titles, which is testimony to its incredible gameplay and mass-market appeal,'' said Evan Stein, vice president of brand management at Acclaim. "We're thrilled to have Crazy Taxi within our portfolio of launch titles for the Nintendo GameCube and are sure it will continue to captivate gamers.''
Both games are currently available for the PlayStation 2 and will also be released for the Microsoft Xbox.
