All Sony-owned studios making PS4 games

PlayStation maker's dozen outfits all currently working on new games for next-generation platform, says president of Worldwide Studios.
All 12 Sony-owned studios are working on new PlayStation 4 games, president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida told IGN.
The website asked Yoshida, "Is it fair to say that all of the first-party studios are working on PS4 games?" To which the executive responded, "Is it fair or not fair? It is fair to say."
Already confirmed PS4 titles from first-party studios include Drive Club (Evolution Studios), Killzone: Shadow Fall (Guerrilla Games), Infamous: Second Son (Sucker Punch), and Knack (SCE Japan).
Media Molecule showed off a new technology demo during Sony's PS4 announcement last week, though it is not clear if this is a new game. In addition, Naughty Dog is openly hiring for next-gen games, and Polyphony Digital is rumored to be at work on Gran Turismo 6.

I hope to still see The Last Guardian and FFXIII VERSUS in a near future for the PS3 before i move on to PS4. This wait isn't funny anymore -.- (i say this like there was ever a time that it was)
1 Like They should've treated the Vita like they're treating the PS4 right now. Even thought there are coming out more good games lately it still doesn't quite yet feel like I've escaped a sinking ship.
@Bartrentenaar Well, you'll be able to play PS4 games through Vita. I guess that can make a difference
1 Like I also think it's hilarious how racing games are always the first games to come out for new consoles; they are the easiest and quickest to make.

@Gamer_4_Fun Yeah, those were definitely the two that I was looking forward to hearing from during the conference. Hopefully they'll both have a presence at E3, and with Naughty Dog it should be for more than just The Last of Us.
1 Like Well this kind of makes sense, do to the PS4 what wasn't done to the Vita and see the sales go up. I am glad to see we'll be getting early exclusives, as they usually have some pretty good stuff. The PS4 really seems like it is being made for the gamers and for the devs to make games with ease.
Soooo that means at least four first-party launch titles?
Still better than Nintendo.
8 Like Well duh! Did you expect the studios to not make a game? Most have only been making games for Sony since the PS1.
The amazing exclusives is the sole reason I want a PS4. It's the sole reason I wanted a PS3. I buy Sony consoles for the exclusives. Any multi plats can be mostly bought PC, and I'll go with that every time.

What about the Vita? Sony really do seem to enjoy getting their asses handed to them by Nintendo when it comes to portables. DO SOMETHING!
@vader501st I think Sony has already made a bold and smart move by essentially making the Vita a Wii U controller. That sparked my interested more, and possibly a lot of others.
As for the Vita itself, it just needs more and better games. Sony has got some 3rd party ass to kiss.

That sounds really good but then that means no ones making a blockbuster for the Vita! So with that I would say the Vita is a dead system but with it having so much interation with the PS4 it would be dumb to sell it now. Ya no games are coming out for it out side Japan but you can use it with a few games on your PS4 just like the new WIIU controller. Sony's next big copy PS4U.
i hope Sony begin herself make games made by only Sony nothing else!

Just woke up and read the Headline of this article at first it read like: "Sony: All your studio Belong to us!" I was like WTF!
Ah this makes me sad; I'm not getting a PS4 because all this social crap is really lame and I was hoping for more use out of my ps3
@Naylord Maybe when you watch some of my one-press-of-a-button-to-share-a-video-of-me-playing-a-PS4-game will be enough to change your mind
@Naylord I recommend keeping your PS3 about a year and a half, in the mean time, save your money, watch some reviews of the upcoming platforms and make your choice. I don't know what M$ will offer but surely won't surpass Sony's announcement

@carolino @SirNormanislost GT5 was the weakest piece of rubbish on the whole gen. One very weak version over 6 years is poor form for a major PS title!
Dark souls 2 is the only game I want seriously you going to taint me with bad games like this.

@darkPSPfan @kljohns2 After watching the games shown at the conference (bearing in mind E3 hasn't even happened yet) I actually realised I'll be spoilt for choice at launch. I'm scared!!
Yeah that's a good start, I just want a couple of really good launch games and then really good games rationed out through the PS4's first year.

What are you talking about a couple? With the price of the PS4 most people will only be able to afford 1 maby 2 games at launch. If you think it will be any where under $400 with all the things they put in it your dreaming. Be ready for a $450-$600 price tag and $59.99 for all launch games. I don't know too many people that can afford $600-$700 at once for system and games. As for me I'm dropping a $1000 at launch hope there are a lot more good games.
Well it's obvious, it would be a really bad move to release the PS4 without a decent library this year.
