Apple sells 3 million iPads over the weekend

 I didn't mean that aesthetics aren't important, because they are in most cases... I was trying to say that most of apple products are lame, and how it's lame that apple producs are actually being a status symbol for a person. The first part is my opinion, of course. lol

 But yes, looks are very important (in most cases) for a product to sell well.  For example, Nintendo, MS, and Sony try to make their consoles sleek and appealing to the eye.

  However, there are a few instances where people will overlook somethings aesthetics if it's worth it function-wise.  For instance, the pc case i bought is hideous. But it has it all. Excellent cooling, more space than the average car garage, and so on. (exaggerating on the space, but w/e)

I guess it all depends on what a person is looking for when they make their purchase: Form or function.

Tech or not, good aesthetics play a very substantial role in the success of any products, and using a device that you think looks good does enhance your experience. Lots of time and money is spent on refining a device's looks in the development process. And if they knew a device could sell more because of its aesthetics, of course they would price it accordingly, because why the hell not? The "ugly as hell but powerful and functional" concept doesn't work for consumer electronics

 I don't HATE apple, but I'll be honest, I don't care for them.  And I'm DEFINITELY not a "droid loon".  You're only further proving my point about apple fans.

The problem is ...Apple is known for innovative products this is not in anyway and not only that they really did over price the thing I am sorry but almost double the competitions price not the smartest move. The next generation in 6months to a year from now might dominate, but right now it just blends in with a larger price tag...

 @davsonamission The iPad mini is a smaller, just as powerful product as the iPad. It runs both iPhone and iPad apps and has the same resolution as the iPad 2. Sure, the droid loons are going to bawl and cry about "NO RETINA" but the fact of the matter is, it's generally just as light as the iPhone 5 and between the sized of iPad and iPhone. Basically what you have is iPhone portability with a very solid sized screen that doesn't take anything away from it's mobility. And when you throw in the same 10 hour battery as the original iPad, you've got yourself one hell of a mobile device.

Idk what the hell happened to my comment (disappeared?) but regardless...yes Apple has more tablet optimized apps (which will no longer be an issue in the coming year), and yes IOS has a history of stability, but its simply because that all apple products are locked down... and really your concerned about the appearance of the item that much then the ipad is just perfect for you ...i cant warrant paying $130 more for this product plain and simple. The 10" Apple Ipad is a slam dunk it is hands down the best 10" tablet on the market but the mini its not the most stellar example of an apple product even you have to admit that.

 @davsonamission Blown up phone apps do not count man.. I'm assuming since you're acting extremely dumb and loonish toward android that you own one. The blown up phone apps look completely horrific on a tablet. And yes, I've used both products. Android applications just generally feel cheapier opposed to the iOS app store. Every single droid I've held has felt like cheap plastic and a certain clunkiness that you simply do not experience on Apple products.
