Asura's Wrath preorder bonuses revealed
Retailer perks for Capcom's cyborg-demigod action game include Penny Arcade comic, in-game content.
Asura's Wrath is set to hit the streets on February 21, and those willing to preorder the game from one of three retailers can count on getting a few freebies. Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop will all be getting various preorder bonuses, with both digital and physical inclusions on offer.
Amazon preorders will ship with the Devastator pack, which translates to Asura taking less damage and having his "unlimited rage gauge" refill more quickly. Best Buy preorderers will receive the Infinity Pack, which opens up the Extinguisher and Zealot modes. These modes let Asura cool down from his rage mode quicker, while also prolonging his unlimited rage mode ability.
The GameStop preorder bonus is a combination art and comic book, written and illustrated by Penny Arcade. This comic will provide a humorous glimpse at how Asura might handle various situations in everyday life. Illustrations in the art section of the book come straight from Asura's Wrath developer CyberConnect 2.
Asura's Wrath is an eccentric action game from CyberConnect2, the studio behind the .hack series. The game follows the variably armed and very angry Asura as he pursues a group of seven "Guardian Generals" who killed his wife (framing him in the process) and absconded with his daughter.
