Asura's Wrath preorder bonuses revealed
Retailer perks for Capcom's cyborg-demigod action game include Penny Arcade comic, in-game content.
Asura's Wrath is set to hit the streets on February 21, and those willing to preorder the game from one of three retailers can count on getting a few freebies. Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop will all be getting various preorder bonuses, with both digital and physical inclusions on offer.
Amazon preorders will ship with the Devastator pack, which translates to Asura taking less damage and having his "unlimited rage gauge" refill more quickly. Best Buy preorderers will receive the Infinity Pack, which opens up the Extinguisher and Zealot modes. These modes let Asura cool down from his rage mode quicker, while also prolonging his unlimited rage mode ability.
The GameStop preorder bonus is a combination art and comic book, written and illustrated by Penny Arcade. This comic will provide a humorous glimpse at how Asura might handle various situations in everyday life. Illustrations in the art section of the book come straight from Asura's Wrath developer CyberConnect 2.
Asura's Wrath is an eccentric action game from CyberConnect2, the studio behind the .hack series. The game follows the variably armed and very angry Asura as he pursues a group of seven "Guardian Generals" who killed his wife (framing him in the process) and absconded with his daughter.

Gamestop seems like the way to go because they're actually giving you something physical, not just in game "cheats"
Wait... So no one knows if the game is going to be good, but yet the pre-order from Amazon already struggles to make it a joke. Damn! This isn't right.
I'm getting this game, no doubt, but I'm not sure what's the best option for pre-ordering, even if they have it revealed here.
every pre-order 'bounus' is never worth it. its always some lame weapon that isnt powerful or just some sort of add on that makes things less awesome. just buy the game, zamn
Thumbs up if Asura > Chuck Norris
No to LameStop I want a bonus I can use in the game.
A interesting tidbit: CyberConnect 2 is helping out with the animations in Soul Calibur V, since they've moved away from mo-cap for that series.
wow, both Best Buy and Amazon have really solid pre-orders! hmm, which to get...
Looking forward to this one. Asian God of War FTW!!!
I gotta ask ...am I the only one who thought this game was about Akuma from SF?
The Penny Arcade comic is by far the best bonus offered.
Boo! Booo! ...Ah well, it's still gonna be a great game.
Gameplay looks a lot like Too Human...which was a decent game (better than it got credit for), but gameplay did get monotonous.
Been looking forward to this for quite some time.
This is Japanese God of War which means it's going to be super hard. And it's capcom. So that means it will be hard as a mother.
@Zesbeer You have to admit the plots are similar, but in its defense it's a common theme, doesn't mean the game will be any less awesome.
I'm just glad to see a release date. Between this, Kingdoms of Amalur, and Dragon's Dogma, the first quarter of 2012 looks like it's going to be packed. Now all I need is a date for Darksiders 2.
Lame preorder bonuses. I hate DLC that just makes the game easier. I'd rather have a soundtrack or even a theme.
this is not gw2 f*** off
Im down for some Japanese god of war action
amazon for me
just give me the game and leave it at that!
