First they forget The Last Story, now Mario Party 9? I swear to God, Gamespot hates the Wii and pretend it doesn't exist.
AU Shippin' Out March 5-9: Mass Effect 3
Mass Effect 3 crash-lands into Aussie retailers this Thursday.
It's time for Commander Shepard's story to come to an end this week, with the release of Mass Effect 3. Just like previous games in the series, Mass Effect 3 will feature multiple endings, and it isn't solely tied to a single-player campaign. It now takes into account your actions in the co-op mode of the game, as well as Mass Effect: Infiltrator for the iOS.
As the battle for humanity rages on in Mass Effect 3, melee brawls of epic proportions will be raging, thanks to Street Fighter X Tekken. Built on the Street Fighter engine, Street Fighter X Tekken pits characters from the two iconic fighting franchises against each other in a crossover game that some fans never expected to see. This release also marks the first time that players will be able to try out the new Gem System, which Capcom has been touting as the fighting genre's answer to perks.
The other big release this week is Twisted Metal, from David Jaffe's studio Eat Sleep Play. Sticking true to the formula of the franchise, Twisted Metal doesn't hold back when it comes to violence and revolves around vehicle-based combat.
New releases aside, Aussie Nintendo 3DS fans will be pleased to hear that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will also be available this week. In case you're unfamiliar with the game, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater was released in 2005 and is considered by many critics as the best entry in the franchise. While it's chronologically the first game in the series, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D tells the story of Big Boss's rise to glory as he attempts to infiltrate a Russian base that houses an experimental weapon.
To see what else is out this week, check the list below:
