AU Shippin' Out November 20-22: Hitman: Absolution, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
Which games are out in Australia this week? Will you be brawling as an iconic character in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale or on the streets in Hitman: Absolution?
This week allows gamers to immerse themselves as an enigmatic hitman, or go all out as their favourite Sony mascot. Who will you choose to be?
Fans can engage in battle with their favourite Sony mascot, thanks to this week’s release of platform brawler game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for the PS3 and Vita. The game includes a cast of iconic characters, including Kratos (God of War), Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Raiden (Metal Gear), and more.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will feature a number of single-player and multiplayer game modes, as well as cross-platform online play, which allows players on the PS3 and Vita to go head-to-head.
IO Interactive's stealth game Hitman: Absolution will also be sneaking onto shelves this week. It is the first entry in the series since 2006's Hitman: Blood Money, which saw protagonist Agent 47 bring silent death to locales ranging from mid-Mardis Gras New Orleans to the White House.
The game is built on IO Interactive's new Glacier 2 engine, which was an influence in shaping the game’s development. Agent 47 makes a return, searching for answers and taking on assassination contracts across the United States. The game also includes an optional online Contracts component.
Disney Interactive Studios' new title Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will also be on sale this week. Sequel to the 2010 Wii-exclusive Disney Epic Mickey, the game boasts a co-op mode, full voice acting, and a tilt toward music. Earlier this year, Spector spoke out against the game industry’s focus on shooters and violence, so expect family-friendly fun here.
Other titles out this week include Assassin’s Creed III for the PC, Spirit Hunters Inc: Light, and Spirit Hunters Inc: Shadow. Check out the full list of new releases below.
