AU Shippin' Out October 5-8: Enslaved
Ninja Theory's postapocalyptic action game breaks the surface down under.
This week sees Ninja Theory go platform agnostic with the release of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Inspired by Chinese novel Journey to the West, Enslaved tells the story of Monkey and Trip as they traverse a ravaged Earth in a bid to escape capture from robots that rule the ruins. Ninja Theory veteran Andy Sirkis provided the motion capture for Monkey, while Hollywood script writer Alex Garland penned the story for the game. Keep an eye out for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West when it is released on Thursday.
Also taking to the court this week is NBA 2K11 from 2K Sports, with basketball legend Michael Jordan as the cover athlete. MJ's association with the game doesn't just end there, with an entire mode in the game dedicated to re-creating the champion's career. On top of that, Visual Concepts has worked to make the pre- and post-game presentations more akin to a TV broadcast, but that's something that only the hardcore sports fans will be on the lookout for. NBA 2K11 also arrives on Thursday.
