Ever since its announcement, Will Wright's ambitious title--Spore--has been on the minds of gamers and is now on the verge of release down under. Spore sees you create and guide your creatures through various stages of evolution. Anyone who has already created a creature using the Spore Creature Creator, which came out a few months ago, can import their animals straight into the game, as opposed to starting anew. Spore is officially out this Thursday for the PC and Nintendo DS.
Three weeks ahead of the movie's release, THQ is releasing the official movie tie-in for Wall-E. The game comes out on almost every platform currently available, each with its own unique features. The PS3 and 360 versions contain two-player co-op, the DS version utilises the touch screen, PC and PS2 allow you to use music to find solutions, and the Wii version supports three head-to-head multiplayer games. Wall-E comes out on September 4.
After several delays, Mercenaries 2 is finally coming out. Set in Venezuela, you control one of three mercenaries who has been screwed over the by the Venezuelan government on a dodgy job. After surviving the ill-fated mission, you build up a small band of support mercs and go about getting revenge on those who wronged you. Mercs 2 was partially developed by Pandemic's Brisbane studio and features over 100 weapons for you to deliver justice with. Like Wall-E, Mercenaries 2 is out on September 4.

i dont have to worry about bying spore I preordered it of hmv and got a message saying its been dispathched and it was today
I really can't wait for Spore , not even a week left ! Stalker looks great too, but I think I'll wait until I'm done the first one.
STALKER was delayed, wasn't it? They forgot to pack CD keys with the CD's and have to repackage it.
"SPORE" UK REVIEW BELOW i just read a uk review of spore and this is what they said: they said it is a great game and is very fun but it has no auto save feature which they found annoying and if you accidentally start a war with another racr then you cant get out of it and they will start attacking you. These are just minor flaws and im sure that patches will fix them in the future :)
Must have Spore... released in AU and some stores broke the street date in Virginia.. (Target and EB). Tried all the stores around me but to no avail =(
I am gonna buy Stalker, and really want to try Facebreaker, spore, infinite Undiscovery, and Mercs 2.
Damn it, I'm in New Zealand and have to wait till the 12th to buy Mercs 2, but I did see Infinite Undiscovery down at the games store (Not that I have any interest in the game........ at all).
Merc2 was suppose to release on Aug. 31, at least according to the pre-order box I got from Best Buy. I called them on Sept. 1 and asked if my copy had come in and they told me that Merc2 would not be out till Sept. 4.
"Spore is officially out this Thursday.." Maybe it ships on Thursday, but the official release date is the 7th.

EB said that it was released on the 11th... i will be a happy man 7 days eairler. Cant wait for Mercs 2!!!
