AU Shippin' Out: September 6-10: R.U.S.E.
It's D-day for Ubisoft's WWII real-time strategy this week.
After undergoing several delays and making changes to accommodate beta feedback, Ubisoft is finally shipping WWII real-time strategy game R.U.S.E. Packing two campaigns, R.U.S.E. features a unique mechanic that sees players trying to trick the opposition in order to gain the upper hand, hence the name. R.U.S.E. will be released on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this Thursday and will allow users to use their PlayStation Move controllers when the peripheral arrives on September 16.
The PlayStation Portable sees its first major release in quite a while in the form of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep from Square Enix. Although it's technically the fifth game to come out bearing the Kingdom Hearts title, Birth by Sleep is a prequel and explores the origins of the franchise. Interestingly, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep will only be available on UMD when it is released on September 9, meaning PSP Go owners are getting the cold shoulder on this one.
Other notable games out this week include Marines Modern Urban Combat on the Wii, the PlayStation 3 version of Tom Clancy's HAWX 2, The Sims 3: Fast Lane Stuff, and more.
