I hate sony and I got rid of my PS2 to get an xbox and then I sold that and got a 360 and I am not planning on buying a PS3 but will most likely buy a Wii. Bathyj missed the first ODI do you know who won?
Four PS2 titles land in overall top 10; only one entrant each for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 for the PS2 proved its dominance down under yet again, securing the title of Australia's top-selling game for the last week of 2006.
Sony's current-gen console took out the top three spots in the Australian game sales charts for the week of December 25-31, according to data trackers GfK Australia. The PS2 version of EA's Need for Speed Carbon took out second position, while sports fans lapped up Cricket 07, sending it to third spot in the charts.
The two next-generation consoles available in Australia--the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii--each had a sole representative in the top 10. The Xbox 360 claimed fourth position with Gears of War, while The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess staked out the eighth spot for the Wii.
While the PS2 had the most titles in the top 10 for any individual console, the Nintendo DS was close behind with three entrants--Nintendogs: Dalmatian and Friends, New Super Mario Bros., and The Sims 2: Pets.

ODI's start Friday. Thats Cricket for all you yanks. Do yourself a favour (yes thats spelt right) get ESPN or Fox Sports or whatever you have to do and see the best sport in the world played this Friday.
No our country is 90% casuals and hence it means most of them look for cheap games, EB have thousands of games on sale for the older consoles and sell most of them (they have them often). Wait and see when people find out the PS3 is going to be $1000 here.
SONY rules as expected!!!!!!!!! ps2 has destroyed all other platforms.............this year ps3 would destroy all other platforms.
Gears climbed up alittle again. Nice work. Go the Aussies is the 20 20 game. Poor England. And could people stop attacking Aussies taste in games. I have all the same top new release games you have (no PS3 yet) and its hard for XB360 games to crack the top 10. Der. There aren't that many consoles out there that aren't a PS2. Is it any wonder it dominates the charts. Besides, if there was any justice Rainbow 6 would be kicking Gear of Wars arse.
The best list there was for the Xbox 360 list - that list is almost completely quality. The overall top 10 is pretty dismal.
I"m a nintendo guy but I have a 360 and gears of war and love it. I think that the wii will kick butt though
mrgokugf Australians are Sony Fanboys....deal with it, they'll come back to Wii when they see that European and US game atmosphere has changed....slowly but surely I am not a sony fanboy, if anything I'm a M$ fanboy but I still like the Wii, so were all not sony fanboys.

I guess the only positive thing to say is atleast we don't still have Fifa on the charts like the UK.
OMG Teh smackdown is so cool! im gonna buy it and then after i play it im gonna go skating with my cooool friends. smoking is cool!
I know what you mean (and I'm Australian), the best top ten there would have to be the 360's top ten.
Sensational! This just in.... the majority of Aussie gamers wouldn't know a good quality, unique IP if it bit em in the ass. There are some terrible games in that Top 10. At least we can rest easy knowing that the majority of those games weren't bought by gamers, but by their ill-informed relatives.
