looks a lot liek bastion. good game, although i never finished it...got kind of bored halfway, i need to go back.
Bastion developer reveals Transistor

Sci-fi role-playing game from Supergiant Games to launch in early 2014 for unspecified platforms.
Bastion developer Supergiant Games today officially announced its next project, a science-fiction-themed action role-playing game called Transistor. An early build of the game will be playable this week during PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts.
Transistor casts players as a young woman who wields a powerful weapon that was at one time used by a group of assailants in an attempt to kill her. Players must fend off this squad of attackers, as they attempt to recapture the weapon.
The game is due for release in early 2014. Platforms for Transistor have not been announced, nor has a publishing partner for the game.
Supergiant Games previously partnered with Warner Bros. on Bastion, which originally launched on Xbox Live Arcade in summer 2011, before spreading to a host of other platforms, including PC, Mac, and iOS. It has sold 1.7 million copies to date.

2 Like This game couldn't be announced in more proper time, just when there are talks from few publishers and developers that female protagonist don't sell. Well here is a game with a female lead and it looks great, I can't say about others but I am certainly gonna buy it, hope it comes to the PS3.
Bastion was a really incredible game, at least from a creative perspective. Will probably jump into this sight unseen.
Anyone else think that the protagonists looks like a cooler female version of Pit carrying Cloud's sword?
Bastion was a well-above-average game (i still play it from time to time) but it was in it's originality that it shined. That makes me more excited then anything.... that a company that made such an original game is taking another swing at things.
Even though I already had it on PC, I bought Bastion for my new iPad a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised how well the virtual controls worked. If you can, get Bastion portable.
Bastion is a nice game. Better alot that those big company game. But 2014... ahhhh.. long to go mate!

Bastion was a great game. It doesnt look much from trailers or videos but the gameplay is very engaging, you always want to know what happened and what will happed next. The narration style was icing on the top. I think I played on PC but will love if it will come on PS3/4 (console).
If you havent played Bastion, you should check it out, great game. If I am not wrong I got it off Steam or something.
1 Like I was in the minority for thinking that Bastion was just "fine": It didn't leap out at me like it did for a lot of other people. With this, another isometric action RPG in the same vein as Bastion, it isn't leaping out at me either. But hey, that's just me. :)
1 Like @gbrading Well, gameplay wise it was just ok, but I got really gripped by the narration and the music. That was the sweet spot for me.
1 Like @RogerioFM @gbrading The narration and the music were spot-on and quite amazing, they may even be as good as some LoZ tracks. Perhaps even one day nostalgically so.
You may not think so, but I found the combat in the game to be really fun, and (with all the gods invoked) quite challenging. There's just something so fascinating about countering and evading enemy attacks in Bastion. Something about how fluid and free-form it seemed to be.
I'm glad to see the combat-style makes a return in Transistor, but I really hope that it doesn't feel like I'm swinging the same old War Machete from Bastion around. Y'know like make weapons that all feel and look different from anything Bastion brought us. I may have liked no, loved Bastion, but I'm not exactly just looking for a Bastion 2.0 here. From the looks of it though, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
@TheFinalDilemma @RogerioFM @gbrading Oh I really enjoyed the combat, I don't think that there was nothing new to it, but it was incredibly fun. Bastion was the best game I played that year, and then ending brought tears into my eyes.

It may seem as if I got really excited if you read my earlier post but I'd just had 4 cups of coffee before watching the trailer.
New game looks good though.
I enjoyed Bastion, so I'll be keeping an eye on this. Would be nice to see the PlayStation get some love this time.
Unfortunately I only ever got to the demo of Bastian :( I loved what I played though and this seems like it may be unique and fun as well
I want Bastion and Transistor on my PS3.... But this company don't seem to want my money. Money that I'd love to give them, it's sad.
I so can't wait for this game. Bastion was great and I have a feeling this game will be as amazing as well.
I like the way it looks, reminds me of old Disney films like Oliver and Company and Aristocats just with a sci fi twist.
