Last month, MTV Games-owned Harmonix dropped the news that, after widespread rumours, Beatles Rock Band was coming to both the US and Europe on September 9. Although pricing for the bundles and the game itself at US retail were announced at $250 (£169) and $60 (£40), respectively, prices for other regions were conspicuous due to their absence.

Today, EA has revealed that The Beatles: Rock Band will available as part of a limited-edition premium bundle, which is set to retail for £179 in the UK and €199 in Europe. The package will contain a "large-scale replica" of the Höfner bass made famous by Sir Paul McCartney, as well as Ludwig-branded Rock Band 2 drums and a microphone with stand. Those with stacks of existing guitars and drums will be pleased to know that all existing Rock Band controllers and most Guitar Hero controllers will be compatible with the game.
Fans who preorder the game will also be able to receive updates including artwork and behind-the-scenes movies in the run-up to the game's launch, and though there will be additional special content in the Special Edition box, EA has not revealed any details.
finally, an RB worth my while.. even if it's $2500 i'd still get it, the FAB4 all time greatest, no one ever comes close
I'm defintely getting the game, not sure at all about the retail version, need to see pics of the actual controllers.
i wonder if the cutscenes will be acid trips
I'm gonna sneak up on it and jam my finger up its butt hole
How much!!!!????
turn that number upside down and add up the numbers (and then -1) What do you get? The UK price! Coincidence? ...probably
"Number nine. Number nine. Number nine..." Haha nice.
lol, good one, gandalf. Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking this for a spin, though I will just be getting the regular retail package... I've got enough plastic instruments laying around the house, thanks.
So not cheap then (which isn't particularly surprising). As always, HM Revenue and Customs get's the extra costs; "I'm the Taxman, and you're working for no one, but me." Don't Let Me Down, guys.
no thanks i`ll pass, oh heres a joke for you, why is joko ono like an aardvark ? - Answer = they both live off dead beatles.
I'm gonna wait to see some pictures of the drums and guitar before I splash the cash
I'm not holding my breath for this at all, but seeing as it's by one of the mostly widely recognized bands in the world, they cannot afford to screw this up in any shape or form. May they be haunted by John Lennon's ghost if this game bombs.
"This better be good or my guitar will gently weep"
there's a fun game, how Beatles related puns can we come up with? :)
while my wallet gently weeps...
As I'm going to get Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, I might get that bundle and the standalone Rock Band Beatles game, as long as all the Guitar Hero controllers work with it!
