@lithus: Get a life man! I couldn't even read all your babbling. It sounded like an old obama speech. You have the worst case of PC envy I have ever seen. "consoles exceeded pc" are you that blind? I own every console system and not a one of them even comes close, I mean not even in the same galaxy as my PC. And for your trade-in theory, I never sell or trade the games I buy. You see unlike console gamers, the pc community can and does mod games. So you can load in an old game and mod it, replay for a different experience and so on and so forth. So if all you do (well all you can do) is buy and play then trade in your games then I would suggest renting the games. That way you can upgrade your console.... Wait you cant do that, sorry man I forgot, consoles cant be turned into a$$ kicking machines like PC's can.
BioShock 2 DLC heading to PC after all
Publisher says fan outcry following cancellation of Protector Trials, Minerva's Den, patch for Windows edition caused studio to change stance.
Earlier this month, PC purchasers of BioShock 2 were offered a dose of bad news, as 2K Games said in an official forum post that it would no longer support the game on Windows platforms. Specifically, though the Protector Trials and Minerva's Den had been given a release date on consoles, the add-on packs would not be coming to the PC, nor would a planned patch.
It hasn't taken long for 2K Games to reverse its stance on bringing the add-on content to its PC customers. Today, 2K Games' senior manager of interactive marketing, Elizabeth Tobey, revealed on the company's official message boards that development had resumed on the PC patch, as well as the Protector Trials and Minerva's Den DLC packs.
"When we announced that Protector Trials and Minerva's Den would not be coming out for the PC due to technical and timing issues, we received a lot of feedback (much of it understandably expressing disappointment and anger) about our decision," Tobey wrote.
"In terms of the patch and the Protector Trials, we had a working build but there were bugs in the code that would trigger problems with the game during specific situations, and we were not happy enough with the status of the build to release it for certification with Microsoft," she continued. However, as the team needed to move on to new projects, the decision was made to abandon development.
After fan outcry, however, 2K reconsidered its decision, she said, and will be submitting the PC patch and Protector Trials to Microsoft for certification in December. When it is released shortly thereafter, Tobey confirmed that updates will be free. Unfortunately, PC gamers will have to wait longer for Minerva's Den, with Tobey noting that it "needed significantly more dev time."
