BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition hits January 14

$30 Xbox 360, PS3 bundle includes BioShock, BioShock 2, add-on content for both games, and "Museum of Orphaned Concepts."
Before taking to the skies in BioShock Infinite, 2K Games is hoping to allure some gamers back into the depths of the ocean. The company today announced the BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition, due January 14 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America. The bundle will be available in "some" international territories at a later date.
The $30 Ultimate Rapture Edition includes the 2007 original BioShock, its 2010 sequel BioShock 2, and add-on content for both games. In addition, the bundle features the "Museum of Orphaned Concepts," which provides a look at concept art and character models that never made it into the BioShock universe.
Downloadable content included with the Ultimate Rapture Edition is listed below by title.
BioShock: Plasmids Pack, Challenge Rooms Pack (previously a PlayStation 3 exclusive).
BioShock 2: Sinclair Solutions Tester, Rapture Metro, The Protector Trials, Minerva's Den.
Also included in the Ultimate Rapture Edition is a sticker pack for BioShock Infinite.

On the subject of 'orphaned concepts', do they realize how ironic this is since the M-content has left what might have been a perfectly good game concept reeking and festering in the Sewers of Corrupted Creations?
2 Like Bioshock 1 and 2 are quite good. But, really, you owe it to yourself to at least play through the first Bioshock. It's one of my all-time favorites.
1 Like Everyone always raved about Bioshock, and I honestly wasn't that impressed with it. I mean, it was good, but endless respawn tubes made it too easy. Fear 1 and 2, Condemned 1 and 2, Far Cry 1 and 3, Crysis 1 and 2, ect kick it's ass. Hell, I even liked Prey more.
@DrKill09 its all personal taste, i think the first Bioshock kicks the asses of all these games put it together...and you can turn the respawning tubs off by the way.

what is the point of this ultimete rapture edition???
1.) You're assuming EVERYONE is going to buy Bioshock Infinite.
2.) That no one cares about Bioshock 2, the dlc for 1&2 and the museum. 3.) You didn't take into account the combined dlc and Bioshock 2, even without Bioshock 1, is still cheaper than buying them separately.
sweet, i was just wishing that i could get the first two together. (I just got into bioshock from a friend and have decided to play them all) its like they read my mind!
1 Like This is one of the best steals in gaming history. Bioshock easily is one of the greatest games ever made, it's still worth close to full price today. Pickin this up for sure.

Seriously, though, please feel free to explain why you think it's the most overrated game of the decade. That seems like a very baseless statement to be making.

I know Bioshock isn't a straight-up horror game, but I can't handle horror games completely. Should I get this?
Yes. The game in general is creepy, (especially the beginning of the first one) but it's one of the best games ever made IMO.
@vin_ke It's not true horror in my opinion. Little creepy, but it's not Slender scary.
@vin_ke I only found the opening 30-60 minutes of BioShock scary/spooky/creepy - the rest of the game was more action-y.
Fuck yeah I'll get this. I'm trading in my copies of the first two just for this package. Saves time buying the DLC :D
i was planning on buying this, but since bioshock infinite for ps3 will come with bioshock 1, i'll skip this package
1 Like BioShock 2 is s***! they had 3 years to make the game, and all they did was reskin some parts. BioShock 2 really shouldn't be part of the BioShock world.
@slayerSS-3 Well, maybe. But it had huge plot-holes that didn't make sense, and the makers of BioShock 2 are now making an awful, horrible FPS/TPS xcom game that was suppose to come out in 2012. It seem without the BioShock name, they really don't know what they are doing.
There is a 20 min. video of xcom you can see on youtube. If you would like, I can give you the link, and you can see for yourself how bad it really is.
I used to own both games on my Xbox 360, until I traded them in, so I think this will be a delightful trip back to Rapture on my television. If you haven't played BioShock at all, definitely get this -- it's worth your money.

Bioshock 1 for 360 has become a rare find these days, im elated to see that it'll return to stores, and anyone who missed out on it now has the opportunity to check it out
i just hope people find it as entertaining & thrilling as i have, the game is just simply badass
sadly, no comment on Bioshock 2 as i never had an opportunity to pick it up & play it myself, so im very much looking forward to this myself
Great deal for those looking to get into the series... I purchased BioShock 2 a while back and Minerva's Den more recently, so it's too bad I'm missing out on this because I never purchased the first game... oh well.
@SoNin360 Well it's a pity if you are a xbox gamer, otherwise if you have ps3, bioshock infinite includes original bioshock.
Interesting. BioShock 2 was meh but I've been wanting to play BioShock 1 again for a long time since I sold it, and I never tried any of the dlc. Might pick this up
Tempting. I haven't been able to find Bioshock in my local stores. Hopefully this gets released worldwide, and soon, so I can enjoy it during my semester break.
Too bad they don't offer it on the PC, and the DLC like Minerva's Den looks really interesting. Unfortunately, getting it through GFWL is a frustrating and painful process.
If it's not from Ken then you are better off without it people. Nothing the other team injected into the story and lore did Bioshock any justice. Just buy Bioshock 1.

erm ok well i got bioshock 1 and 2 off steam a while ago for £2.50 each so seems i saved myself £15
