Quote- CluelessOne hmmm....thats a different idea. At least it means that the developers have some interest in what the fans think. ___________________________________________________________ Well thats not uncommon in the PC gaming world,..unheard of in the console world hence why thier sequal and stuff are almost exactly the same year after year
Canadian developer taking submissions from would-be game scenario scribes for a new NeverWinter Nights module.
For years, BioWare has been known for its intricately plotted role-playing games. Many authors of linear stories have looked with envy at the branching plotlines of Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire. Some hardcore fans have gone as far as to pen their own fan fiction featuring characters from these games.
Now, those same would-be scenarists have a shot at helping craft the story of an all-new BioWare game. The Canadian developer has posted a new Web page that bears the enticing headline "The Contest That Might Become Your Career." The unnamed contest calls for submissions of ideas for a new NeverWinter Nights module, no longer than 3,500 words "including dialogue and setting." The deadline for submissions is January 30, after which three winning modules will be selected by a panel of judges, with five others picked by the NWN community. "These top eight submissions will be reviewed by BioWare senior staff members Kevin Barrett and James Ohlen with the intent on finding and hiring talented writers," reads the page.
Details for the contest can be found on the official BioWare Web site.
