I'll tell you how Halo 4 was beaten by MW3. Halo 4 sucks. Could be one of the worst Halo games multiplayer , right beside Halo Reach
It's 2013 already and I still don't get how people keep playing FPS games on consoles. Gamepad aiming is clumsy and stiff as f*ck.
@Saladudo I'm sorry dude, it works well. Just because you suck it doesn't mean it's clumsy.
@Saladudo But movement is infinitely better with an analogue stick
@TheSkyrimStatue yes you can. just need more practice and less complain
@Lestat_jio @TheSkyrimStatue The port I was referring to was the new carrier command. You compare that to console ports like half-life and the movement just feels clunky and robotic. And although you can move in any direction you look at, you can't be aiming at a target and moving forward at say 30 degrees while slowly accelerating or jog around in circles while looking at a stationary object. And the way I see it, having to move you're hand across a keyboard to slightly change movement speed is a real drag. I just prefer the extra freedom you get with sticks.
@TheSkyrimStatue actually, all the games had the same movement options, (unless the devs changed it in the port) also you control the aim and therefore the movement direction. the "walk" key is bounded in every game. You need to check "options->keyboard" in every game, but is almos universal.
@Lestat_jio That's just my opinion because i hate the binary like movement that comes with keyboard buttons. It's most noticeable when you've been using a pad for a while and then play a PC game or bad console port and finding that you can only move in 8 directions and you've got no way of controlling your speed. It's just hold button to run, let go to stand still, there's no walking
damn it dont seem like COD is going anywhere any time soon we may just have to learn to live with it
@steelmouth COD was a highly-respected FPS franchise from COD 4 through Black Ops... some criticism with MW2, yeah, but the first BOps really helped turn it around. Today, we need to get over the stigma that MW3 caused the franchise, since Black Ops II is really a good shooter and that players are too hesitant to give COD another chance.
Cod 1-5 = absolutely amazing (mostly)
MW2 = not fantastic but pretty good
Cod 7 onwards = where did it all go so wrong
that's how I see it anyway
Only a madman would believe BO2 is better than MW3. The first black ops was superior in gameplay to both though. I wish the statement that people make that each game is just updated map packs were true as it wouldn't have resulted in the pile of crap that is BO2.
@Rayzakk What if I told you, that I thought Black Ops 2 is superior to Modern Warfare 3?
Each to his own, I guess. I agree that Black Ops 1 has superior quality to the two, though.
