Blizzard hiring for 'Unannounced Game Title'
California company hiring software engineer for all-new game that isn't its next-generation MMOG, Titan.
Blizzard Entertainment's next-generation massively multiplayer online game--confirmed as being code-named "Titan" and already playable--is not the only mystery title that the developer-publisher has in its pipeline.
According to Blizzard's career portal page, the California developer is hiring software engineers for an "Unannounced Game Title." The game in question is listed separately from Blizzard's "Next-Gen MMO," indicating it is a different project from Titan.
As for the position itself, the listing states that the company is "on the hunt for a creatively minded and talented individual to serve as tools engineer for its newest game team." (Emphasis added.) No other details about the project were listed.
If the project is indeed different from Titan, it will be the fifth confirmed game Blizzard has in the works. Currently the Irvine, California-based company is working on Titan, Diablo III, and the two Starcraft II expansions Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. According to an allegedly leaked schedule, Blizzard is also planning for two Diablo III expansions, two more World of Warcraft expansions, and a Starcraft II project code-named "Phoenix."

Here's what happened. When they said that Star Craft II was going to have three separate games, they didn't think that anyone would believe them or take them seriously. They said to themselves, why would any self-respecting person by the same game three times? Then they realized that people do buy the same game multiple times: see e.g. Madden. Then they realized that people really do want to buy three versions of Star Craft II. Then they said to themselves, I guess we have to produce another Star Craft II game?!?! But, based on the lack of originality between Star Craft and Star Craft II, it's obvious that they've just simply run out of ideas. so now, they have to find someone with an ounce of creativity to make the next Star Craft II title because their "creative" team is just bone dry. .... P.S. I'm joking. Don't be so serious.
lol we're probably gonna see this new game in about the next 20 years.. they haven't announced Diablo 3 yet...
I really think that Warcraft 4 will be announced around late 2012 and we will be playing it in 2015-2016 or something! Its a cycle people! :)

i think its world of warcraft 2 think about it , wows engine was made in 2001 , imagine the new engine , new graphic , new start . atleast world pvp will be alive again

I read a rumour from a unconfirmed blizzard alpha tester that the titan mmo is a facebook based second life type game. I hope this is completely false.
Blizzards makes the best PC games, although others are close in quality. Glad to see more game output from them.
Hopefully Warcraft 4. But I agree with some of the other posts. By the time I actually play the game my 2 year old son will probably be able to play alongside me.
Hard to get excited when Blizzard can't even give a name to it. Given their time scales on previous games it takes 3-4 years from the time they first mention the name of the game to it actually being released. If this doesn't even have a name yet we'll be looking at 2016+ before this gets released.

@ Kashmiro, it was in development for 7 years, which it had a whole 1 year delay because the SC2 helped out on WoW in 2005. it's either a new IP or WC4, dont think they would develop SC3 or diablo 4 while still working on the previous games/expansions.
Gamestop, this is a disappointingly late article. This is making front page news everywhere on the internet, and yet positions have been posted for "Unannounced Game Title" up through the middle of last year. I check the Blizzard jobs page frequently for employment opportunities. This is last year's news.
It took them something like 10 years to make Starcraft 2, I would not write it off that they may be starting up work on Warcraft 4. Beyond that I could see some kind of FPS or Third-Person shooter, or possibly some kind of RPG (Dragon Age type) just because those are types of games they haven't made.
Seriously, Starcraft 2: phoenix? Didn't starcraft: ghost vanish and burn? PLEASE let Starcraft 2: phoenix be this bird rising from the ashes :) PLEASE PLEASE. I bought my original xbox for that **** game lol
blizzard really isn't dumb enough to try to compete with themselves right now so an RTS, Crawler, or new MMO wouldn't be the case. this has to be a new IP. only time will tell and its blizz so it will be a really long time...
Ok lets see. Blizz has stated that if they make WC4, then it would be after WoW plot wise. WoW still has like 3 expansions to go, so it cant be WC4. Also, there is no way Blizz would release 2 RTS anywere near each other, so WC4 will come a while after last SC xpack Dont see it being Diablo related, since 3 hasnt been released yet. Ghost would make the most sense, since the console cycle is coming to an end and in about 2-3 years well have 8th gen console. 3-4 years is max it would take for blizz to rebuild Ghost, since they already have a finished game pretty much. The last choice is a completely new IP, but i dought they would try 2 of those at once, and we know Titan is new.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's the latest Warcraft RTS. Blizzard has three established IP franchises between Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo, and it's already slated to take a huge risk on a new IP with Titan (making another new IP unlikely, from a financial risk standpoint). WoW is a perpetual work in progress, and Starcraft and Diablo already have announced sequels/episodes in the works, which leaves only the Warcraft RTS series without an announced team at the moment. Personally I'd like to see another new IP from Blizzard, but Warcraft 4 would certainly be welcome. I certainly think it makes the most sense from a business perspective.
Whatever it is, the game won't be released for another 18 years from now...so, I'm going to concentrate on the present for the time being. :)
why is anyone even excited for this... this is blizzard. Even if they are hiring now, they aren't releasing anything for at least 8 more years... and that is if they even finish it.
