 @kelliielouiise Well, I totally agree with you, but some people were raving about a new SCII expansion, so that's why I intended to reply that article.

 @blutosan Yes I do, and that makes me sad.  When I review a Blizzard game these days I always make the comparison of what it was to what it is now.  Blizzard loses me a little bit more as a fan with each new title.

 @erozeuz I like ponytails too, actually.  Makes sense to me.But this is the common sense I'm talking about:  When George Lucas released his prequels, he had way more than ten million fans and viewers going out to see those movies, and more than ten million fans were incredibly upset at what he had done with the story.  Words like "younglings" still cause fists to clench and pitchforks to be grabbed, I have no doubt.   A lot of angry fans turned their backs on Lucas, and many more wrote angry letters/emails/rocks with painted profanities on them.  Lucas sold his empire to Disney after he had enough stating something like 'I don't understand, this was always my vision.  I'll do what I want with it.  I'm tired of this complaining.  I'm fat and rich'.  That was his self destructive behavior: a world-wide blunder.  Fans REALLY had enough of him after what he had done to Indiana Jones (barf).  I consider the same to be true for Blizzard, and they're making a lot of the same mistakes.  They're so wrapped up in their own vision of perfection, this absurdly long release window, the appeal to addictive behaviors, and they don't realize they need to pick their heads of from the microscope and understand they've run in the wrong direction since 2004.  I don't mind long periods of development, but I do mind long periods of development that end with a mediocre product.  Diablo III, for example, was not only unfinished, but it was also half-baked.  Add onto that, a lot of Blizzard fans, the majority of all players of all Blizzard games, are outside of the US in Asia, where either they run endless TV tournaments or one person has multiple accounts in order to gold farm.  But, they do advertise their ten million subscribers ambiguously, and that leaves people to assume local popularity.  It's flash and gimmicks and commercials.  "Flashy light saber battles and annoying droids do not a good movie make." - Yoda.

 I don't understand the complaints about StarCraft 2 being split into three games being a rip-off.

The original StarCraft was three campaigns with 10 missions each, for a total of 30 levels.  Add in Brood War for 10 missions for each race for a total of 60 levels.

StarCraft 2, presuming that they follow the same form as the expansions, will have three parts that are 27 levels each, one for each race.  This will result in 81 levels when all three parts are done.

How is a game with 27 levels with an expanded story, more cinematics, and a more fully developed multi-player experience of less value than a game with 30 levels?

Criticism of the game based on design choices or play issues is fine, but whining about the amount of content is absurd.
