Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation DLC due May 3

@warbrady Are you serious? Would you rather do what Modern Warfare does and only get 3 maps for 15$? you get four maps, plus a zombie map, that takes a lot of time to do! You have got to be kidding me, well worth 15$.

4 reasons why im not buyin this 1 to expensive , 2 i prefer battlefield 3 five and 1st strike were crap 4 i sold blk ops

well awesome, more DLC. i didn't get the first map map that came out, simply because i'm cheap. i work don't get me wrong, but for 15bucks i can buy a used game that offers more. I would love to see the 2 map packs combined and give a option to save $5 maybe, then i'd be interested. I'd really like to get them. but...like i said. i can buy used games for about that much and get much more playtime and diversity. i love DLC, but not that much. I'll wait around and get it in the future, if anything it will be glitched/bugged out the gate anyway, so waiting won't hurt anything. bloody PSN is down rightnow anyway....but still free and thats way better then paying for online play so i'm cool.

As long as they continue to give it to Xbox first. They will never get my money. There is just too many good titles out there for PS3 to wait for these guys!

Awesome downloadable content... but I'm gonna be busy playing Portal 2, Catherine, and Alice. I don't hate Call of Duty by any means, I just think it doesn't matter you miss the releases or games for a couple months. Its not like they change the formula very much. Its a plus, when I want to shoot people I want the best shooter not some hyped crap like Homefront. Keep that tasty DLC coming.

wouldn't be much point in getting this considering i traded the game in 3 days after purchase. waste of time, waste of money.

@armydominican69 smh... more like I need a bandage! In all honestly if people are still deluded to think this current console generation is not near the end, good for them. All I can say watch this space and they should of joined this gen sooner rather than later. And also realy you thumb down for me stating what should be staring you in the face. That list of games, each title pushes the envelope more so than any recent Call of Duty game. Realy you should play more games or get another hobby. The list of Call of Duty "innovations" is very small Call of Duty (PC) ADS aim down sight. (although I think MOH done this also?) Call of Duty 4 MW (PC X360 & PS3) Perks & Killstreaks.

for that $15 you can get Borderlands + 4 expansions AND Magicka + both addons, from Steam. Instead, the sheep will follow the chocolate covered carrot Activision lays in front of CoD

I'm proud to say I have resisted spending my well earned cash on over priced map packs such as these. Especially cause in New Zealand it costs $30 for each one, even though if you looked at the exchange rate we should only be paying around $20 for each.

people complaining about the map packs price and yadda yadda. though everyone still buys them. Viscious circle. never changing. just like the Lakers Yankees Heat wal-mart etc. its "cool" to hate whatever has gotten big or more popular. oh dont forget to pepper in some hate about some nonsensicalness about ps3 being irrelevant as well as the pc for not getting these map packs at the same time though somehow everyone made it out to be "not down for" or "not supporting" these map packs. hmmmmmmmm......

as long as the game has lots of good content right out of the box, i think period DLC is a great option. keeps things fresh just as it gets a bit tired, adding life to the original purchase.

@ShroomyGrl PC irrelevent! If Phony or Microshaft don't get the fingers out there proverbial, there "powerful" consoles will be over took in power by tablets & smartphones. The consoles are becomming irrelevent if the were a race horse they would of been shot by now, & sold to France to put in there burgers. Think about it if Sony can get almost PS3 visuals in a handheld, what does it say about your PS3?

Won't be jumping to download this & play BLOPS (or MW3) for the foreseeable, not with the Gears 3 beta, Socom 4 & Brink. To tide me over until the Daddy of all shooters Battlefield 3 lands on PC (not to mention Gears 3 too).

I would love to make a funny joke about how they would bump this up to a full game price and people would still buy it... but I don't want to give Activision the Idea and watch people still buy it.......

Ways to get rich by Activision..... 1. Make a good game... 2. Overhype it to much. 3. Realese expensive DLC's for the game. 4. Use the same game mechanics for the next installment of the franchise. (in less words: make a polished copy of the game). 5. Repeat all steps except step number one..... Result: Your greed overpassed the limits.... thanks activision

More crappy Map Packs... whatever happened to DLC being mini-campaigns or new models/sounds etc.

A new zombie map for me is like a whole new game in itself that will keep me entertained for months at least. I hope treyarch realizes that a stand alone call of duty zombie game would make alot of people happy so we didn't have to pay $15 bucks for one map though.

Woow Another map pack, I'll bet it will cause the PSN store to overcrowded with DL again And for the people that are complaining about the DLC, its simple don't buy it and even better just sell your copy. I've sold my copy of Black Ops in like a month after purchase and I've never looked back again.

@killdamn The new fans that gattered in 2007 phenomenon spreaded that with the purcharses of the mappacks. They are far more redituable (in quantity and quality) than the PC consumers from 2003 to 2007, the ones that had free maps via mandatory patchs. Just adding to what you say, and also agree with the gamers that misses those times (and rightfuly complain).

Unique zombie experience my arse. The only way it could possibly be good is if they give you something to do other than survive. An objective would be nice. (and not another big easter egg, that was a major disappointment) I found myself going back to MW2 yesterday and playing the Spec Ops mission 'Body Count'. That felt 100x better than the tripe treyarch are currently offering with zombies.

Well, since the era of community created maps for CoD is over because people support this, why whine? You bought the map packs before, you do so in the future. Never again is CoD series going to see content, ironically thanks to the fans themselves. They could raise the price to 20 bucks and euros and have no more than five maps. Guess what, it will sell, even if they announce forehand that 5 map packs will the released. Who is the source of the DLC problem, Activision or the consumer? I say, go ahead and buy the maps, spread the cancer to every other fanbase, force us all to deal with DLC filled gaming. Better yet, buy the next instalment of the series called Modern Warfare 3. Break the sales for this never changing, non-innovative, fanbase alienating series.

Yes the maps are not as cheap as many other games...but come, alot of people who play call of duty will buy it without even thinking. I will buy the maps simply because it includes another zombie map...the other maps - I hope - are better than the first ones. Still...more online gaming time :)

Everyone needs to stop whining about the price of the map packs. Yes they maybe be a little over expensive but people can easily put another 20+ hours into the game because of them. Do us all a favor and stop waffling, because YOU know & I know that the majority of the people complaining are going to be taking a few days out of there schedules so that they can bash them for muitple hours. That's what i am going to be doing anyways :D

I still find it VERY funny when complain about black ops map packs..... YOU BUY THEM......so you cant then bash them. If you dont buy them, good for you, :) Money talks, keep buying these stupid maps at ripp off prices more fall you, then again most people buying them are under 12 with dads credit card so what can you do ?

$45 is unheard of for maps in other games. You could buy and expansion pack or 2 in other games, which gives you a hell of a lot more content than some new maps, almost like a new game.

$15 dollars for a map pack!!!? This must be a late April fools joke or something! Maybe if it was an addition to the campaign, but even Bioware doesn't charge $15 dollars for it. Oh well, still waiting for it to go on sale on Steam before I buy it for the SP campaign. If I want MP, I'll play BC2, while waiting for BF3.

@LondonGamer986 It's debatable. I know I really enjoyed that game a lot, both for its campaign as well as its multiplayer. It just strikes me as the same sort of nerd logic I hear about the Star Wars Saga or which Star Trek was better than the other. The way i see it, play the latest iteration... or move on. Negativity just makes you look like a Infinity Ward fanboy or a bitter troll.

All the haters are the ones who are terrible at this game or are PS3 owners who get crap ports. I like it but it is getting old.

Only ever bought 3 DLC. 1. Map Pack for COD4. 2+3, Expansion packs for GTA 4. Never again will I buy Map Packs for any game.
