Rumor has it that True Fantasy Online got killed in favor of Square bringing FF XI to the Xbox 360. It was kind of a 'this for that' deal that Microsoft had. Is there any truth to the rumor? I don't know, but it sounds probable.
Citizen Zero nixed
Micro Forté cans interstellar prison colony MMOG, replaces it with an original spy-themed MMOG.
Those still holding out hope for the PC and original Xbox massively multiplayer online game Citizen Zero can finally let go. Australian developer Micro Forté has confirmed that the sci-fi title has been canceled.
The news isn't all glum, as Micro Forté also took the opportunity to announce that it is instead working on a new spy-themed MMOG. The developer said the new project is an original intellectual property, and that it is an opportunity to integrate the traditionally social MMOG experience with gameplay more commonly found in single-player games.
The developer is currently searching for a publisher to handle the project (as well as other new MMOGs in development) and expects to reveal more details about the spy-themed game by the end of the year.
