How do you get this to work....?

Western-looking character in a japanese looking world and armor... doesnt rly match eachother. If I look at these screenshots I just have the feeling that something isnt right about this. Never played it though, could still be a good game.

What is really wrong with them. When it finishes download it don't work. You try to install and corrupt files or what. When i click on the link they provide above it just sends me the the home menu of game spot is it suppose to do that.

they seriously better unlock the install, its not just bad that they didn't yank the file after labor day, but that most sites still don't seem to tell anyone about that little bit of info before they d/l it..way to waste bandwidth

For a little finality, here it is... Anyone now trying to install the full version of these games WILL NOT BE ABLE TO because the dicks at Ubisoft made it so that you could only install the full game LABOR DAY WEEKEND. So if you are now trying to download any of these games, don't waste your time, you're downloading gigabytes of nothing. It sucks, but life is like that sometimes.

Unfortunately, I can answer everyone's "Why isn't the free game working?" questions. The Ubisoft games were only free to play over Labor Day weekend. I was really bummed when I found out...I spent literally 48 hours downloading it only to find out it doesn't work anymore.

I already own the free Command & Conquer game from EA but these Ubisoft games look good. Hopefully I won't have the same "not in US" problem that some others are having. Free gaming == good!!! Time to give Far Cry a try.

Yeah wtf, I'm from the US and i checked the box that i'm from the US when i signed up on UBI. Stupid setup tells me that "Sorry, you must be in the US to play this title"... Are you serious? Can anyone explain?

I can't even instal these games .. I am from the US, but it refuses to except that I am .. Anyone had this same problem

And in the future, games that might be dev by the production companies(nVidia, ATI, Asus, MSI, XFX, Crucial, Corsair, etc) will have free games with in-game ads.

i downloaded the free version of Far Cry about a week ago...the McDonald's ads are kind of annoying, but they don't interfere with the gameplay at all, so its worth it.

Well, if this is what happens when we have in-game advertising, than I'm all for it. Cheaper games = more games!

crunchb3rry, just to let you know, Far cry on Pc is completely different than the 360 or xbox version, shame I don't have a gaming PC to play these on, but hey its all Good, this should be happening more often

Hmmm looks like they made all logins inactive... anybody else have this problem? I looked at fileplanet and I gathered that they won't let anyone else register this game...

EA gives us dinky C&C, Ubisoft gives us Far Cry and Sands of Time. Burn! Another reason why I pray daily that EA doesn't buy out Ubisoft as they intend to. Only problem is I'm halfway through Far Cry on the 360 (just fired it up yesterday after a long break) and as much as the PC version has vastly superior controls, I don't think I can wade through that much of the game again. And I beat Sands of Time three times. But this is a pair of games that everybody who hasn't played definitely owes it to themselves to play. Especially PoP.

old news, i knew that yesterday, already download POP, advertising isn't that bad, some mcdonald pic but with link to iGN game guide. and i think anyone can play these games, doesn't matter where you live, just create account with location as US (not sure)

I'm having a blast playing my free Far Cry (thanks Ubisoft!), using Tmod or FRAPS gets rid of all the ads btw. I'll probably get the others soon. this is kind of old news btw....
