Hey combat1818...in case you haven't realized, the GTA series is primarily developed by Rockstar North, which happens to be located in Europe. well im glad rockstar finaly got what they deserve..they have continuously pushed the bounderies of what is moraly acceptable in games.and now they have found out...the cost? for rockstar millions of pounds---for gamers? most likley a revisiting of the whole 80s video nasties but for games----THNX ROCKSTAR HAHAHAHAHA--I ONLY PLAY PC SO IT DOESNT REALLY BOTHER ME

I agree with ringbling. AO rating and original extreme content needs to stay and they need to switch to PC since the companies dont like adult rated games on their systems. oh well, I'm going to watch some porn on my ps2 and 360 symutaniously now. MANHUNT 2! GO R*!

I say keep it AO. We live in an age of Online ordering, this keeps the game from being sold by irresponsible store clerks to kids, and anyone with a brain can figure out how to make an online order. If the brits don't want the game, screw it RS doesn't need their limey money.

torchure = torture (spell check) As for manhunt 2, it is sad the true gamer, or just your average Joe, must be punished because of the few that will actually be fueled into acting the same way that they see in a video game in real life. But comparing a video game to a movie, well doesn't make much sense because watching a movie is more passive while playing and engaging in a game is a lot more active. Sometimes drastic measures must be taken to avoid trouble down the road.

Sarevokmb you say its not banned in the USA because you have freedom HA HA, You might think this is true but if this game is to banned anywhere in the world it should be America. I mean its the only place where Stupid kids can get hold of guns and then sit in trees waiting to kill there class mates and the Govement can build illegal jails and detain inoccent muslims for years with no reason. As for the game, banning it is a a dumb idea, computer games are made so we can do things that we could never do in real life, I see films like Hostal out there and I think that all of us game players are getting a bum deal. IF PC gaming was thriving, then comments would be justified. But PC games sales are down - way down, and we just don't need this crap! On console violent games are a small niche, but on PC ALL WE GET ARE VIOLENT GAMES! Whether killing nazi's or robots or humans or aliens or goblins, they are all based around violence. PC doesn't have it's Guitar Hero's and Pimkins and Ico's and on and on. PC has the Sims and the Tycoon games (the biggest sellers every year, by the wa!) and the rest are all games based on violence. This could be at least one f the reason PC gaming is shrinking and console gaming is expanding. PC games are just aimed at a smaller and smaller niche hardcore market that is just not big enough any more to sustain the PC games market.

And MCM, very nice, I swear between this, Hot Coffee, and GTA IV being in Liberty City (aka New York) jacking up police men, Rockstar is just freaking awesome. Cept they are going pure Console but hell I might buy one or buy the game and just emulate... Tis an option

This is the best marketing gimmick ive ever seen. Nobody cared about manhunt 2 until it was held up for being AO. Now everyone is talking about it and wanting to buy it. Kudos rockstar, you just found a new way to make a lot of money.

And the most violent game you played before that was Mario, right? You have to have never played an M rated game to be disgusted by Manhunt. You do nothing more violent than in other games. Excuse me - did I ever say I did not play Manhunt? In case you don't know Manhunt came out on PC as well as consoles! And yes. I did play it. For around 10 minutes on a mates PC before almost puking. And Finaleve? PC game sales down over 50% in 5 years, home PC sales down over 30% in 2 years, 2006 saw the least number of PC game releases ever and the average review score was the lowest ever for those that were released. So not dying? Not in my book. Yes, not dead. But something has to happen quick as it is fighting for it's life in intensive care! After all this year we have seen fewer PC game releases than even last year and other than Supreme Commander and Command and Conquer 3 there hasn't exactly been a deluge of AAA titles has there?! (And don't talk about Dirt or Tomb Raider revisited, they are just upgrades to previous games, like the Sports games 'upgrades' we see every year - they should not be included in my book!)

Manhunt 2 banned in the UK. Can't see it not being banned in U.S. too. Yeah, but in the U.S, we have this little thing called freedom. :) Anyways, you have never played the first Manhunt, so don't comment on it. It was the best stealth game since the MG games, even if it did go a bit over board with the violence.

Anyone get the feeling that rockstar wanted manhunt to get banned cause they knew it would cause a tremendous buzz amongst gamers, in which after it stews and spreads over time they will release a pre-planned moddified version (M rated) that will then sell like hotcakes?

Flat_Line - it is worth the download, but you should also grab the Mirage UI compilation. It combines X-Perl UnitFrames plus a whole bunch of other really useful addons. http://ledmirage.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=7 Though this version of UnitFrames is newer than what's in Mirage UI, so you'll want to get it as well.

Manhunt 2 banned in the UK. Can't see it not being banned in U.S. too. For Gamespot to be putting up links for the (insidious) Manhunt 2 promotional items like screensavers is diabolical! I do not know why the world needs games like this and I never will! ...And the fact that PC gaming is dying in front of our eyes and video gaming in general is levelling off, I don't think most gamers do either.
