Candygun Games' tactical zombie title arrives on Microsoft's online platform next week; scheduled to hit PlayStation Network on July 20.
Yesterday, Call of Duty: Black Ops welcomed the Annihilation map pack, a new add-on that included a fresh zombie level for gamers to fight the undead in. Next week, zombie-slaying fans will have another new chance to re-kill the living dead, when Dead Block hits Xbox Live Arcade.
Candygun Games' Dead Block hits XBLA next Wednesday, July 6, and will be available for 800 Microsoft points, or $10. PlayStation 3 owners are going to have to wait a bit longer to play the game, as it is currently scheduled to arrive on the PlayStation Network on July 20.
The game is also expected to arrive for the PC, but Candygun has not announced a release date for Dead Block on that platform.
The Unreal Engine-powered Dead Block lets gamers play as a construction worker, traffic warden, or an insatiable boy scout. Players are tasked with surviving waves of oncoming zombies either by force or with strategy. Additionally, gamers can fight alone or with friends in the game's split-screen mode.
Game looks like an arcade version of cod zombies mixed with The Ship. If i has 4 player co-op (online) then if could be fun.
Looks like, with good level design, it could be fun for groups. Though, if the co-op isn't online as well, then this game has no reason to exist.
So how does an X box exclusive with only the merest mention of a possible pc launch date qualify as pc game news?
An "insaitable boy scout" @_@ wow talk about an imaginative description painting a picture in my sick mind. I don't want to go there...i don't want to go there...I don't...
I don't understand the obsession with "exclusives". Who the hell cares what system a game comes out on. More platforms=more profit for developers to make more games. As a gamer I want as wide a variety of games as possible to choose from.
"wait a bit longer to play the game on PS3"? No surprise, it seems like Microsoft's using so much money for their sh*tty Kinect that they can't even afford exclusives anymore... Where are my 60 bucks a year going to?
Heh, headbanging zombies. Overall it's look a little different and I'm fine with that. Real issue for me is memory size and not so much price. Anything near a gig or over is too much for me.
