Develop 08: Rockstar rocks award ceremony

GTAIV has amazing visuals and ragdoll effects xD i mean i dink it deserves like a 9.5 i could have done better in a few sections

GTA 4 was overrated, still worthy of a 9 something though. Whats really got me is why Nintendo is publishing hero? Whats the criteria for that?

@TheRoshow i agree, but gta san andreas deserved a 10/10 gta4 was way overrated.

Rockstar Games should be ashamed of them selfs. 10/10? I don't think so!!! After playing (Saints Row) I see GTA4 could have been much better but that did a piss pore Job on produceing a Great game? After all of the hype, after all that talk, after all that wait this is what Rock Star give us? GTA4 is nothing more then GTA Liberty Ciry Stories. With better graphics and a few more extras.. If that's the case why can't we just get GTA SA with better Graphics and a few more extras? Then maybe that would be worth a 10/10, but everybody is so so so in love with GTA for so so so mini years that up and coming GTA style games like Saint Row can't get a chance when they are clearly much better. Rock Star Games don't even read the Fan mail of ideas for the next game maybe that's why GTA4 sucked giant monkey balls!! Long as it took to make this game that could have did so much more but just because they won't to have something to bate us gamers in for the next game, that did a half a** job on this one and paid for good rateing like a fake 10/10. Saint Row is the new GTA everybody that buys Saints Row 2 will forget all about GTA. Hell buy Saints Row 1 cause it's better then GTA4..

GTA IV was fun, but not a 10

GTA4 diservs every single reward because i though gta4 would get like a 9.6 or would bomb!!!!!!!!!!! but got a 10 and i think its worth it. other people who hate ti becuz it violent or its better or got better score then the games they like those people are jelous gta4 is awsome cant wait for 5 good job rockstargames

Lol Grand Prix means 'Big/Great Prize' so 'Grand Prix Prize' makes no sense.

GTA4 deserves every single bit of awesome attention it gets. Its still, argueably, one of the greatest games ever made. The only title around currently that draws level with it is MGS4, that damn simple.

I CAN"T WAIT UNTILL THIS COMES OUT!! Parachuting is going to be great. Driving the tank and running from the Army to. Yeah I can't wait to do all that.

I don't get it, obviously people who say GTA IV is the best game ever or even GOTY haven't played the previous GTA games. Beyond the story and graphics GTA IV is empty. Not to mention it has the worst driving physics out of any game I have ever played. The only award I give GTA IV is the biggest disappointment of the year. Seriously, I played through it once and have never had the urge to pick it up again. What is the point of mentioning awards for a year that is only half over, with the titles coming this fall GTA IV will be a forgotten memory.

Well done Rockstar but Konami dserves more than a little respect for MGS4.

For all those who keep asking why no Konami is either it came out after voting finished/nominations counted or they liked someone else... hard to believe right...? Erg... awards are going to suck if all MGS4 fans give every award giver the third degree. By no means do I have anything against MGS4, great game and it should win many many awards but I'm not going to go on a rampage if GTA IV wins some... otherwise its going to make PS3 owners look bad.

Well, TT has a lock on best licensing... it's either between their brilliant LEGO adaptations or some crappy movie game.

Nintendo still gets awards, huh? Publishing hero... hmm...

Well congratz to all who won awards especially Rockstar. I wouldn't be surprised if GTA IV takes 2008 game of the year as the only other game i see giving it true competion is Metal Gear 4 and probably Gears 2 (have 2 c how this one turns out). Since Rockstar has done so well in the tech department of the game, i'd like to see a truly groundbreaking and way bigger GTA for the next go around!

While GTA4 was great, and technically proficient, it is still incredibly overrated and will not keep a fraction of its 10 rating once it is up for a re-release review in a few years.

is this list for games only developed in the UK?? one thing about GTA4 imo is that: in it's hunt for realism, they took out a lot of it's fun-factor. by that i mean the rampages and planes. it's still a steller game though

good for rockstar, cause GTA 4 really was the best GTA followed by GTA 3 in my opinion.

I'm surprised that Metal Gear nor Konami didn't win anything. Then again I'm really not sure what critiea was neccessary to qualify for those awards.

The awards season hasn't even started and GTA IV has already started to earn awards for it's developers. I think that both Rockstar and Rockstar North truly deserve the appreciation they got there.
