Devil May Cry 4, RotK XI get PC dates this summer

Extended edition of Capcom's action game getting PC demo before release; Koei's 11th installment in strategy series hits the platform on July 29.
Considering Devil May Cry 3 made the move to the PC 10 months after its PlayStation 2 counterpart, the keyboard-and-mouse friendly edition of Devil May Cry 4 ruffled far fewer feathers than the Xbox 360 version. With the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions having enjoyed ample success when they launched in February, Capcom today said that the PC version of the game will ship out this summer.
The PC game will benefit from an extended stay in purgatory, as it comes equipped with two extra modes, some additional content, and a variety of graphical customization options. In Turbo mode, the game will be sped up to an even faster pace than the original, while Legendary Dark Knight mode will up the difficulty by dramatically increasing the number of enemies thrown at the player.
As for visual customizations, PC gamers will be able to increase the game's resolution settings to allow cutscenes to run at 120 frames per second, up from 30 in the console versions, as well as manage various other graphical effects. DMC4 is compatible with both DirectX 9 and 10. In advance of the game's release, Capcom also said today it plans to release a demo to give gamers a chance to test their rigs against an included benchmark mode.
The PC edition of Koei's Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI also received a date today. With the PS2 game out last February, Koei said today that its long-running ancient Chinese historical sim would arrive for the most venerable of gaming platforms on July 29. In the latest installment in the series, players will be transported back to China's Han Dynasty circa 2nd century A.D. The game offers more than 40 base commands and in excess of 780 "uniquely individual personalities" that players can interact with.

God, DMC3 on PC was the buggiest piece if ish ever. I hope they don't screw this one up too.

Great...thats all we need is more sloppy console poo.. The game only scored an 8 and we are supposed to be grateful for that? Assasins Crude was the most boring game ever....and we want more of that.? Even the PS3 version reviewer( DMC4) said it was repeptitious. I mean these kinda games are the reason I don't own a console... I did kinda like GoW though.... But some games should just stay where they come from....console..ughh

I can't wait for them to release this new difficulty as DLC on PS3 and 360 I need a new challenge : ). DMC4 was nothing compared to DMC3 in terms of difficultly.

Kinda sucks that the PC guys are starting to get console games at later times. I've noticed it with stuff like Vegas 2, Turok, and now DMC4. Good news that they are actually getting it though. Hopefully it scales well and gets some decent sales.
i already have the game anyway and i dont play games on tha PC that much, so dont really care.8)
well now more than 70% pc gamers owns controller so they can bring same game as console, part of it pc is the way ahead generation
Lost Planet on PC was buggy enough, even on my high-end rig (Core 2 Quad Q6600, 8800GT). Let's see if they'll be able to pull it out. But I seriously doubt it when they're trying to pull 120fps; even my graphics card would explode.

I'm still mad about Capcom selling out, but at least some of my Microsoftie friend's can play DMC4.
This can be equal in success to other recent high profile Console-to-pc port from capcom.... RE4... what a crappy version.
Sounds nice but, Koei, when is Rot3K XII gonna drop? &, do you think you can go next gen? XI was cool but I want my dude to be able to get married & have kids like in some of the early versions of the game so that they can grow up, continue the conquest, get married, & have heirs to also continue the conquest. The last time I played XI my dude up & died so one of the other generals became the ruler. Not cool Koei... not cool. Now... chop, chop... get to work... & let's get Rot3K XII street ready.
a demo....this sounds big. capcom never releases demos nor do they add considerable content for pc versions. a great pc port or just eextra work so they can make dmc5 better
It's hard to believe that the PS3 and 360 are so close to being PC counterparts, I've forgotten about the PC platform in general.
Capcom doesn't have a very good history regarding PC ports. I would suggest waiting for a demo before buying the full game...
have pc's seriously surpassed the current consoles that much (im talking about that 120 frames compared to 30)???? or are console developers taking a heap of time learning how to properly develop for them?
Just an observation - PS3 version has the cutscenes runing at 60 fps, not 30. Edit: And regarding the requirements, there are pictures floating around from the benchmark with a Quad Core 6600 and [dual]8800GTX struggling to keep the framerate in the 30s without any special effects on screen (exceed, pandora, gilgamesh, explosions) though at 1080p. Considering that DMC4 nedds a perfect 60 fps to be played properly, i'm guessing the requirements will be insane.

i just hope the min eq arent that high for dmc4 its good that there is gonna be a demo for the game if it sucks iam not gonna even bother with this game dmc3 se was really bad with real bad conrtol scheme this is should be the first thing that capcom should fix a mouse and keyboard control scheme should be their top priority and after that the game should atleast give 60+ fps when playing on a nomarl rig ......i want the demo now capcom
gary8888...while I agree that Nero should stop whining (sometimes I mean come on id be angry too if Agnus kidnapped my hottie) but he jumped Dante for no reason cause hes well...Nero. Nobody messes with Dante! lol As for the tranny part...I don't think so.
Seriously... I hardly doubt my rig(if you can even call it a rig more like a shophouse) can run DMC 4 at full... Plus the fact that without a smooth PC DMC 4 is virtually unplayable. Imagine trying to hit an awesome combo when your com starts to slow down and everything starts moving in slow mo and before you realise it Nero's already lying dead on the ground... Sighs I'll definitely not be getting this no matter how much more extras capcom chuck into it(unless my I decide to upgrade my PC which is highly unlikely since it's like only what, 2 years old?)
