@Pichu24 LOL!! Final Fantasy VII is own by Square-Enix ( and they don't want to even look at that game ) Street Vol 3 is made by EA! nobody can't do a remake of them. besides them!

I want somebody to make a FFVII and Street Vol 3 remake. This is also good though.

I like HD remakes, brings me back to funner simpler days of gaming, not to mention I get to show my kids the great stories (despite the cheesiness) they offered. Seems you can just make a pretty game and it will sell well now. As far as the new DMC, not to happy about how he looks but will keep an open mind about it and wait for its release to judge.

@Fryboy101 1) I probably wasn't clear, i'm not pissed about the fact they're releasing an HD collection, i'm pissed about it because they're doing it after releasing all those controversial trailers, something that MGS didn't do. And to me, that's like saying, "screw what you think. Here's a remake, now be quiet" 2) Since i'm a long time DMC fan, i hope you're right, and that DMC will be a great game. But I, just like many others, don't think it will. Hope one day I'll say I was wrong...

@KnightSparda 1.)it's three DMC games for 40, which i think is a good deal. MGS HD Collection did the same exact thing, did you complain about that too? 2.)Don't judge a game before you play it.

Seriously? First, they announce that DMC crap, and now they want other 40 $ for a fairly simple remake? We do have a brain Capcom, we remember your screw ups... :|

@zzamaro UH......yeah right. I'll have to say I believe none of that nonsense you just posted. You make no points. I'm aware of sequels to games. That is a big difference from remakes. I actually still have SF 2 Championship Edition and SF Alpha 2, but that series has different installments also. You can defend them all you want, and I'm not going after them with a torch,and pitchfork, just saying it was a "possible" reason , or my belief that they may have removed BC due to that very marketing reason. You posting nonsense, or repeated insults isn't going to change my "opinion" on that topic.

Sure, I've been long interested in them, but I never really got around to playing these games. Now, I can get the collection for the 360. Yay!

@godzillavskong Part 2 because of character limit: You can't really expect to have everything for very low price. Like I said, technology has a price. Again, you originally said that you saw a reason of why they removed BC. First of all, Capcom didn't create the PS3. Second, we have seen all these re-releases/compilations for 30 years. For example, Super Mario All-Stars. Finally, Capcom has been re-releasing their games for decades. One perfect example is street fighter, how many SF games have they released? If you were 31, you would have known this a long time ago. Your originaly comment was completely unnecessary and off-topic if you read my three points. And what's up with the direct attack? Some people like privacy in our blog, to avoid stalkers, trolls, etc.

@godzillavskong Saying reasons of why something was removed is NOT an opinion. It's trying to point FACTS. An opinion is to express something like this: "I don't like this president" "I hate this game". A fact is something you can prove like: "The N64 was released in 1996" "BC was removed so they can offer cheaper models". This is what teachers TAUGHT us in school. An adult will understand things costs. I used to be a kid like you, complaining about these things. But hopefully it didn't take me long to see technology costs. The wii, the DS, and PSP, and PS3 have received a new model that removed BC, but looking at the lower prices, that's understandable. No, that's not the only reason for the new price. Yes, one reason is that the product has been around for a long time and it is cheaper to make. That said, I didn't mind any of the said consoles have had removed features. Yes, I already have them but if I my goal was to save money, and not having 100% of the features, I would have paid for a lower price. You obviously forgot about "$600 PS3" because it seems you weren't here, MOST people were complaining about the price. I was one of them. But with time, I saw why the price and understood. I didn't mind the features being removed as long as I could afford a cheaper model. If I were an adult in 2006, I would have had to make a choice: Pay the premium price and have all the features, or wait a little and the possibility to sacrifice features?

Devil May Cry 3 was by far the best one in the series. Pretty awesome. I'd rather buy HD remakes of classic, awesome games than buy new crappy sequels.

@Devil-May_Cry I see what you're saying and I'm not against remakes in HD, I was just saying that this may be the reason why Sony pulled backwards compatibility from it's systems. Note that I said MAY.Lets say you already have a game, which can be played on your PS3, upscaled at that, then later on they re-release it in HD?Will you purchase it again? Some will, maybe a lot will, but a bigger portion would not if they had a PS3 that was BC, and owned the game.Oh, and if your PS2 broke you could always go pick up another one pretty cheap nowadays.I think you can get one of those cheaper than a average PS3 game.

Cool. I'm glad it got pushed back a lil. I had it preordered and it was coming out the same day as Darkness 2.

I can't wait for this one and I'm eagerly excited for new DMC game, haters can hate cause I love Dante's action not looks and so far the game is looking hell lotta fun

DMC2 gets a lot of heat, I guess cuz it wasnt as good as the original but still a good game on its own

@godzillavskong But what do you do in case you live in a country such as Belgium where games and gamers are very rare and where games only stay in the shop for a few months... Don't take me wrong, I understand how capcom can make money out of this, but also think of the countries that cannot replay a DMC game after the PS2 or the game is broken.

At 1st i was like i can't wait for this,but then i remembered that witch lady in DmC3 and how much off an issue she gave me when i was younger...i'll have a breakdown if i can't get past her all these years later.

@AuronAXE Seriously, did not understand why this game saw the light of day. I know it was trying to cash in on the series but it just failed so horribly (It could have been a decent game too but the story and the writing...ugh).

Please release this for PC too Capcom! DMC4 was really good. Please fix DMC3 SE or don't bother teasing us with prettier graphics but still broken PC360 controls. >:(

@zzamaro I also see why you set your profile to private, that way no one could view your profile, or send you a msg, rather than having to respond back and forth to this nonsense. I also think you have it set to private because this probably isn't the first time you tried to get under someone's skin when they had a opinion which you didn't agree with. No worries though. HD remakes are good for the most part, but I won't re-buy them again if I already own them, unless they have more appealing features.

@zzamaro I'm not going to be as immature as you, and argue back and forth about why I think , or have a theory about something. If you don't agree with it then fine, but trying to insult someone in response is just childish. I have my opinions and I didn't say that it was a fact, just that it could very well be the reasoning behind taking that feature out(BC). Grow up.

@godzillavskong You don't seem to be over 30...Anyway, you originally said that you are seeing why they are taking BC. What does that has to do with this HD compilation? The HD games are remasters(upgraded) of their original counterpart and some, in fact, have additional content. For example, Sly has 3D and bonus minigames; MGS has ONLINE play, and MGS3 runs beautifully at 60fps. Some HD compilations are obviusly lazy. Just look at RE4 "HD" and Ubisoft's PoP. Others HD collections are worth like ICO and MGS, the improvements are obvious there. And looking at the some comments, gamers also like achievements/trophies. Even when you original comment if completely off-topic, you don't get those extras on the PS3. Besides, they are also on X360 now. You could see PS1 and PS2 classics are the same, just ports. Look at Chrono Trigger. People wanted the loading times to be fixed, but those classics are just the same than they were. All of this has been known for years. You seem to be 13 if you ask me.

@Nemesis958 Yeah, it seems like they may just re-release a bunch of their PS2 hits in HD, so I guess you'll just have to break out the old PS2 if you want to play PS2 games, unless you have one of the rare backwards compatible PS3s. I'm not really hating on them , and some of these HD remakes are very worthy, like SOTC/Ico remake. I had SOTC already, but not Ico, so I wanted to grab this HD overhaul, and there are more that I'm sure to purchase. I just think there may be a method to their madness, by pulling BC from PS3's, therefore to make a business decision to re-release them with a coat of new paint.

@zzamaro Actually I was born over 30 years ago, whats your point? I clearly stated my point. Why make most of these PS2 games readily available when you can re-release them with a facelift for $$$. I'm sure they aren't going to have to spend as much R&D seeing as how the blueprint is there, just some tweaks here and there, so it will seem cost effective for them. It's just a theory, not trying to prove that they did, or are doing this for certain, so calm down, and save the insults.

I used to play DMC1 and DMC3 on my PS2 and enjoyed it (btw I hated DMC2), I gotta play it again :D

Goong to get this collection for my ps3 and get rid of my old ps2 ones. But im glad that xbox360 owners will get it first time to comple with 4th so glad

Wow capcom looks like they actually spent time working on the graphics instead of the stunt they pulled with the Resident Evil HD games. Cant wait to play them all. 2 was not so bad of a game just had some disappointments.

Even DMC2 will put the new DmC on shame :P

I don't know why but I kinda find the thought of DMC2 being re-released pretty damn hilarious. That being said I'll look into this for sure.

this is good, more and more companies are doing this, hopefully more catch on, and their just not making these for the PS3 they're making them for the Xbox 360, hope more publishers follow suit
