why's not released on pc? And...why it doesn't have BASS guitar support? Put that all togheter AND YOU HAVE A HIT
Ubisoft confirms partnership with guitar giant for new bundle that includes an Epiphone Les Paul Junior axe, conversion cables, and copy of the game.
LOS ANGELES--When news that Ubisoft was developing a realism-based guitar game called Rocksmith broke in March, it was noted that a special Gibson edition of the game was also planned. Now, Ubisoft has confirmed that speculation and offered new details about it.
Ubisoft today formally announced a new $200 Rocksmith bundle that packs in an Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar and conversion cables. Rocksmith will also be available in an $80 standard edition, which includes a Real Tone Cable and a copy of the game. Retailers suggest it will drop October 11.
However, gamers interested in keeping as much of their money as possible might want to consider the following. An Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar currently sells for $130 at Guitar Center, the national axe warehouse where gamers can apply the $25 credit they earned for preordering the game at GameStop.
Given that Rocksmith sells for $80, gamers looking to purchase the $200 bundle can actually save $15 by preordering the title at GameStop and applying the $25 credit they earned for doing so toward the purchase of the Epiphone Les Paul Junior at Guitar Center.
As for the game, Rocksmith has players strumming along on actual strings. The game begins by teaching players the basics of guitar playing and ramps up in difficulty as a player learns more. The game will come with an input jack that is compatible with "most electric guitars."
Additionally, Ubisoft has announced a slew of songs that will be included in the game. These include classic rock tunes like Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and The Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," as well as contemporary jams like The Black Keys' "The Next Girl" and The White Stripes' "Icky Thump."

Can't wait for this one. Rock Band and Guitar Hero got kinda meh after a while and, with as much time put into it, left me with nothing practical that could be carried on outside of the game. This, though...it'll be pretty cool to actually get better at guitar while playing the game.
I am all for an interactive experience that actually teaches an art. Looking forward for to this for my son.
Decessus i hear that u can play almost with every electronic guitar in the world and it is very easy to connect.
Bit pricey but so are all the same games in this genre, bur for once it will teach you to play a REAL instrument. This could revolutionize teaching of instruments, not to mention give a fun way to pratice and compete.
Just buy a real guitar. Seriouslly. Just buy a REAL guitar and learn this craft FOR REAL, not for some bullcrap videogame.
This game > Rockband & Gaytar Hero At least you can actually learn something productive with this game... perhaps the 1st game with such a caracteristic if not one of the few.... I already have a guitar, will be looking forward to getting this, pluging it in and actually learning how to play it.
I'm a drummer, have never learned to play guitar.... I have to wonder how easy this will be to play as an absolute beginner, or whether at least moderate experience beforehand will be necessary. Will definitely keep a look out as a good friend of mine who plays bass and guitar will definitely get this, so I can try it at his house first
Funny above it says "the game will come with an input jack that is compatible with "most electric guitars." in the video he repeats like 5 times "IT WORKS WITH ANY GUITAR" I god damn want this!!!!
Most likely I'm going to love this game, hopefully it will make me play much better, I mean, playing for fun in this way has got to be easier!... ^_^
looks awesome, but idk if im gonna have the courage to play it. my mustang pro guitar from rock band is getting dusty
i dont care if it came with mel gibson and he reacted brave heart every day... i still wouldnt buy it!!!! freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom!!
@mariobros210 ummm, guitar hero already did move over......for Rock Band, which has already done this.
