Escape from Monkey Island goes gold

LucasArts has announced that Escape from Monkey Island for the Sony PlayStation 2 has gone gold. The game is complete and is now ready for manufacturing and distribution. The game's story, which tells of the frequent misadventures of Guybrush Threepwood, is played in a standard point-and-click framework. In general, the visuals and plot are the same as the ones featured in the PC version of the game. Escape from Monkey Island is the fourth game in the adventure game series and will be released on June 19.
