Evo qualifiers confirmed for Singapore
The event is fully sanctioned and open to international competitors for Evo points acquisition.
The last time a Road to Evo contest happened in Singapore, Eng Ghim Kee (also known as Gackt) came in first and won a flight to Las Vegas, USA, to compete in the Evolution Championship Series 2011. Road to Evo is back in Singapore this year, with the Southeast Asia Major 2012: Road to Evo Singapore tournament set for the Clementi Community Centre. The event will be in conjunction with the Clementi Game Fest 2012 on June 9 and June 10.
The tournament is fully sanctioned and is open for all international competitors to compete and acquire Evo points to boost their overall ranking for Evo 2012. The games up for contesting will be five of the six main games used for the upcoming tournament: Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition (Version 2012); Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3; The King of Fighters XIII; Street Fighter X Tekken; and SoulCalibur V. Though not part of the Evo 2012 lineup, a side competition for FIFA 12 will also be held.
Evo 2012 will take place on July 6 to July 8 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada. Next to the five games mentioned above, Mortal Kombat (2011 version) will also be used. For the results of the last Evo tournament, head here.
