Fallout news teased

Three Dog voice actor Erik Todd Dellums hints at reprising role for upcoming entry in role-playing game series.

Bethesda may soon have news to share for Fallout fans. Voice actor Erik Todd Dellums, who performed the role of Three Dog in Fallout 3, teased on Twitter recently (via Eurogamer) that his character may return in an upcoming entry in the role-playing game series.

"To all my #Fallout3 and #ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!," Dellums wrote, noting he was given permission to make the announcement.

Bethesda has not announced any new Fallout games, and a company representative was not immediately available to comment.

A rumor from August 2012 suggested Fallout 4 would be set in Boston, Massachusetts. Bethesda developers reportedly have been "scoping out and researching" the city.

The most recent Fallout title was 2010's Fallout: New Vegas, which was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and set in a postapocalyptic Las Vegas. Its predecessor, Fallout 3, was developed by Bethesda Game Studios and took place in Washington DC and the surrounding area.

Honestly, both endings sucked. NV had more to do,but I liked FO3's map and characters much more. Idk, I think the different factions in NV killed it for me. I don't want to join any stupid bandit club and fight other bandits, I want to slaughter them all!

Hell, yeah and off the new engine that Skyrim is running on the game would look fanstastic.

Liked Fallout 3 and not soo much Fallout New Vegas. I would love to see better character animations instead of stiff animations

Fallout 3 DESTROYED new vegas. In fallout 3 you start out in a vault with a GREAT STORYLINE. in new vegas you start out in a random cabin discovered by an old man? whatthef*ckisthissh*t.jpg

@JustSignedUp New Vegas destroyed fallout 3 with a significantly better storyline and deeper, more memorable characters.

I hope there is a new fallout game, they have been fantastic, many many hours of enjoyment :)

I'll be honest with you, was first being showed. I wasn't so much excited for that, but for the fact that most likely the next fallout game would likely be using that engine. So I just imagined how beautiful the next fallout would be. Other than possibly Ground Zeroes, and RTW2 Fallout 4 will definitely be my mostly anticipated game for as long as its not released.

It's a matter of personal choice.  I did enjoy Fallout 3 a lot more than FNV.

Another Fallout would be a nice change of pace from Skyrim. While Elder Scrolls is typically better, Fallout 3 and even Vegas where actually, really really good. I still think Fallout 2 is the best entry in the franchise, but Bethesda is doing a great job.

Fallout new vegas is so superior to Fallout 3.

Bethesda should stick to TES, they lack the sense of humor needed for a Fallout game
Obsidian's New Vegas was disturbingly funny

@LookAnDrolL No. Fallout 3 had gravitas. New Vegas itself was a joke. DC got nuked, the people of the desert trashed their own houses. Thank the gods Bethesda stepped in a set the tone.

Moreover, NV, content-wise, was empty and half-finished (like practically every Obsidian game of the last decade). FO3 was packed with content and though.

I still play Fallout 3. I don't still play FNV.

Obsidian Fallout Vegas was terrible, boring, tedious and extremely uninteresting, none of us like it.. Bethesda Fallout 3 was one of the best games of all time...

@XspidervenomX To be honest, I liked them both, a lot.

FO3 had a lot to live up to, for me anyway, because I have always been a massive FO2 fan especially. It might not have been as good as could have been, but boy did I rack up some hours with that. Played it through about 7 times or so with mediocre computer that could barely run it, ooo the frustration sometimes... but, totally worth it :)

FNV I enjoyed too, I don't think I played it as much as I did FO3, but that might be because of RL commitments and all that as well. Still, a great game.

I for one am really excited about new FO game, if it gets to at least the same level than either one of earlier ones, I'm going to be glad.

@XspidervenomX  WOW, I had no idea people felt that way, I thought Fallout 3 was boring, had very few quests, and since the main story is a joke to anyone that paid attention in high school science class (to filter the water you just run it through soil),The expansions were mostly linear shoot-em ups. I thought NV had a better story, more  choices, a better game world with many more quests, and much better DLC. Not to mention a real fallout ending that actually reflected the many choices you made.To each his own I guess.

@jski how do you filter water through irradiated soil?

@XspidervenomX My roommate and I have an agreement about that. Fallout 3 main game was wonderful, but the expansions weren't too good. Fallout NV main game blows, but the expansions are great. Fallout NV does suck to be honest, it had some good features and some decent story, but it was just blah. Very blah.

@XspidervenomX Not sure if you are joking. FNV was twice the RPG Fallout 3 was. Obsidian's writing was way superior to Bethesda's. Of course, Obsidian also employs key personnel from the very first 2 Fallout games, so FNV ended up being what a real Fallout game was supposed to be. Don't get me wrong, Fallout 3 is an outstanding game on its own, but New Vegas was in a completely different category.

If the next Fallout game isn't developed by Obsidian again, I won't be buying it. New Vegas was more of a Fallout game than Fallout 3 ever was with its linear forced plot and shitty stupid ending.

splinter10

@BIOJECT Bit harsh. Though i do agree, Fallout 3 was much more darker, but still charming. New Veagas was however probably more entertaining and wacky in a lot of respects. Both are still awesome games. Also you have to remember Fallout 3 in terms of a next gen fallout laid down the blueprint for NV.

Don't understand the point of this article.  It really doesn't tell us much.  Hopefully though, Fallout 4 will be better than New Vegas even though New Vegas was fun, it had a lot of bugs.  Fallout 3 was awesome, even with its glitches.

I hope they change the artistic vision behind the '40 years thing. It is not bad but can get a bit annoying with the time.
