First Assassin's Creed III DLC out now

The Hidden Secrets available today for Xbox 360 and PC Season Pass holders, tomorrow for PS3; next week for those without pass; TBA for Wii U.
The first Assassin's Creed III expansion goes live today. Ubisoft has announced that The Hidden Secrets downloadable content is now available for Xbox 360 and PC Season Pass holders, with a release slated for tomorrow on PlayStation 3. Xbox 360 and PC gamers without a Season Pass can grab the content December 11, with PS3 owners able to jump in December 13.
It was not announced how much gamers without a $30 Assassin's Creed III Season Pass can expect to pay for the Hidden Secrets DLC.
Wii U owners will need to wait the longest, as Ubisoft did not specify a release date at all for Nintendo's new console, saying only that the content will arrive "at a later date."
The Hidden Secrets for Assassin's Creed III introduces three new missions (Lost Mayan Ruins, Ghost of War, and Dangerous Secret) that total one hour of gameplay, Ubisoft said. Successful completion of each mission will reward players will new in-game weapons.
In addition, the Hidden Secrets content adds two single-player costumes (Captain of the Aquila uniform and traditional Colonial Assassin outfit), as well as a pair of new multiplayer characters: Redcoat and Sharpshooter.
Additional DLC to follow The Hidden Secrets includes the three-part Tyranny of King George expansion, as well as the Battle Hardened multiplayer pack, which adds new maps and character's to the game's head-to-head online mode.

Alright --- one whole hour of gameplay... I may have to cancel other plans to fit this beast into my schedule. Hoorah! It will take me longer to install the damn thing. What's even dumber about this, I already have 1 of 3 via a pre-order bonus. :\
Didn't read the article, don't care about DLC-They can't get the game right, so who cares?
Well by the looks of it im not going to be buying any ac3 dlc, especially due to the fact that im still stuck in limited mode for online gameplay since the first day of release. If Ubisoft expects customers, well then maybe they should look after their customers and reply to emails sent weeks ago on their support page in regards to issues effecting gameplay quality of particular features (multiplayer). All customers should automatically assume that a games release date means that the game is actually completed, instead of being sold a game filled with bugs and crappy servers!!!!!
Hmmm, I see. So they're basically just giving away for free something that was free (if you pre-ordered) to begin with only to those who has the season pass. Because I know for a fact that this isn't part of the 5-DLC packs that the season pass is for. I already have Lost Mayan Ruins so that means now I'll get Ghost of War, Dangerous Secret, 2 MP characters, and In-game blah blah for free? Cool I guess.
@PaulJanson Well BF3 premium advertises that it gives you access to 5 DLC expansions, one of those came with the game for preorders. In fact I'm pretty sure it came on all release day packs if you bought it retail.

You wanna rip me off,selling crappy DLC just so I get the "full intended experience"... Well guess what , i'll just download the cracked PC version with all DLC unlocked next time... Cause clearly, you do not value your paying customers. We buy your shitty, bug infested piece of garbage that barely even works, then you expect us to buy season passes and stuff... No thanks.
It really pisses me off to no end. Just bought Hitman Absolution on PC cause I love IO interactive ... I could have "cracked" it for free, but I figured "Might as well encourage the devs"... Now they want me to pay like 10 bucks for missing preorder bonuses and random costumes... Geez, thanks for rewarding loyalty... Next time, i'll install the cracked version... At least i'll get the full experience...

1 Like @James_Mason Whenever these game devs release a new DLC, I like to remind them, "I could have illegally downloaded the cracked version of your game but I didn't. You ought to be grateful really. You owe me this additional material that only those who enjoyed the game would actually be interested in."
The DLC is thin and is probably as terrible as the AC3 dlc. It probably follows the same terrible structure of the game it's for too.
Assassins Creed seems to have forgotten what it is.
@fillup0 I'd say many gamers have forgotten what Assassin's Creed is. I know the game isn't perfect, but it hasn't suddenly replaced its gameplay mechanics and narrative style. People have just gotten more critical and cynical towards the series.

1 Like My advice for all you AC fans out there is not to purchase the Season Pass or this DLC when it came out, because from experience you should know by now, all the preorder content will be free to people when full DLC hits the market. Look at Brotherhood and Revelations, all their preorder content all end up bundled with their story/MP DLCs. And as for DLCs themselves, they will eventually be on sale (xbox currently is having an Ubisoft sales half price most DLCs). So be smart and wait for six month, and you can save at least 50%.

@chriskingkong Yeah I thought the same, because I forgot that the DLCs don't come out till next year. lol
Good game but all the DLC bullshit and the dumbed down difficulty killed the game for me at launch, i'm waiting for a price drop instead or a GOTY edition (in case it gets the award).

Stop paying for DLC that is not worth it ( most of it ) and stop Pre-odering just so you can get a useless item that only you and the hundreds of thousands of people who pre-order got to be unique. I'm att he part before Nathan finds the women in the woods or whatever you get chased by dogs and I find this game totally average in everyway, average in graphics, atmosphere, a.i. gameplay everything is so....Average too the point I dont want to play it anymore everything looks kinda ugly.
After playing farcry 3 for an hour I realise just how much better that game is, has similar gameplay points like using stealth, but has like 10x more replayability.

@davidsworld3 The game does get better after that, but not that much better. It fails to fully deliver on any of its promises. For example, the battles are too thin.
How do you all like getting that artificial "value" for joining their season pass club? I mean: the DLC is ready, and could be sold to anyone...but you didn't pay us extra, so you can wait.
@Conjuration Season Pass is actually less than the price of all the individual DLC, so the season pass people didn't really pay "extra"

@david1230 No, I bought the season pass at launch. I'll put as much money as I can into this game. Its fantastically made.
@PDXmauler97 just don't buy the dlc since it's suppose to have been in the game but now they are reselling items that were taken out of the game to make more money.

1 Like Benedict Arnold was supposed to be a full hour, instead the actual campaign lasted, at most, twenty minutes, with the additional challenges filling out the rest of the hour.
It was a very nice add-on pack, but it wasn't nearly as long as advertised.
4 Like Well people keep buying crappy DLCs even if they claim they aren't going to do so... so if you hate this kind of thing it's simple... DON'T BUY THE FUGGIN DLC.
@Kazuya-Mishima Exactly. Even though most opinions you can read online are heavily against these kind of shitty DLC's, nobody would make them if they weren't selling exceptionally well.
"Colonial Assassin outfit"? I bought the Target version, which was supposed to have this in it. Which, by the way, has not shown up in my game. I guess Ubisoft really meant to say, "You get this bundled with your game, BUT you still have to buy it at a later date to use it."
Ubisoft may have cut the DRM from their PC games, but these bullshit business practices - DLC that *should* have been in the game (and is probably already on the disk, but locked), DLC season passes, and the UPlay passport required for progressing past level 10 in multiplayer - are equally as stupid.
I was going to buy Far Cry 3 and Splinter Cell: Blacklist, but I don't think I'll bother giving any more of my money to UbiRipoff.
@ChemicalReaper You have to log into the Ubisoft network or whatever the hell they call it and enter in the code you were supposed to get. If you did that and you don't have it, that is very crappy indeed.
1 Like @ChemicalReaper but heres the problem, name any of the major game franchise's and then tell me how many of them have "dlc", boarderlands has dlc but i don't think its on disc, so your going to start assuming every dlc that is coming out is already on the disc? yes i know of games that had on disc dlc, and day on patches and dlc, believe me i understand where your coming from, but here is the sad truly about you and gamers, you guys really won't stop all at once (which is needed btw), cause if you did and everyone as well didn't buy the dlc and the reason for not buying it was that you think the items and content should be either in the game or free or near free, so like everyone says but no one can do in unison all of you stop buying dlc for just one or two months, but if you don't all the complaints and shady business practices will continue,
