Whoever said that Rockstar does release more than one game a year is half right. Up until 2008, Rockstar did put out more than one, you'll remember that Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club released in the same year. After that, Rockstar has only released one a year with the exception of 2009 since they released Beaterator which was a PS Portable and iOS game along with the last expansions of GTA IV. Since then, only one a year with 2010 giving us Red Dead Redemption, 2011 being L.A. Noire and 2012 with the upcoming Max Payne 3. Bank on GTA V not being until next year.

@holdentorana74 What? Waste my money on an inferior console? Are you kidding me? Nah only joking. Anyway GTA 4 is known to have freezing and crashing issues on all platforms so it wouldn't make a difference. Anyone who doesn't believe me can look it up. It's a fact.

I wasn't expecting the game this year either. GTA titles are not known to be out the gate so soon after announcement. E3 may be very interesting this year. I'm expecting tons of gameplay videos and trailers!

Well Rockstar always know what they are doing, and I love how they are not like the other companies, Revealing too many info about the game everyday so when you buy it you've already seen it all.

GTA4 is LEGENDARY,if you don't like it go play Saints Row!! Hopefully GTA5 will be in the same realistic vein...

They're taking too long. When it does come out it better not be the crashing mess that gta 4 was on the xbox 360. The episodes crashed all the time aswell for me. I had to give up and buy the pc version which is badly optimized and doesn't run very smoothly. So it better work properly when it does finally come out.

Far from Assassins Creed and COD release? What the hell, I have every one of those so far, and I'd say all their game play combined doesn't come close to the GTA experience. Would buy even if released the same day as Assassins Creed 3 or COD 26...

Thank goodness someone confirmed saying its coming this year. I knew when they announced the trailer I knew it wasn't coming in 2012. It's either 2013 or possibly 2014 depending on RockStar Games cause I know how they are. They release a new game once a year. GTAIV: 2008, GTA expansions: 2009, Red Dead Redemption: 2010, LA Noire: 2011, Max Payne 3: 2012.. GTAV.... TBD

Rockstar is publishing it. So, no matter how long it takes for the game to come out, IT WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT!

I don't care what gamestop make guesses about because I make my own =P I'm really hoping and want GTA V to be out around September / October this year, a new trailer will probably shown at E3 in June. Can't wait for that game anyway, I've played Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV to death more or less, I still love 'em all. I finally modded GTA IV recently, I tried a couple of times before and just wasn't able to but now it looks incredible, should keep it alive until V comes out. GTA 4 was over-rated.....it was a good game but c'mon...that game took it self way too seriously....

@Gravity_Slave Yes I do have great parents. I was able to play GTA and draw a line between the video game world and this world as a child. I think you will find that I have great parents for that. Nobody mentioned anything about CoD. Oh, and stop using the word 'kiddo'. It's not going to make you seem like some kind of grizzled video gaming veteran...

Due to the way the title art appear, I'll be calling this Grand Theft Auto V. Five. It's silly, but not totally inaccurate.

New character, different open world city (lol sometimes, GTA IV went back to LibertyCity again) Same mission structure. Tell me how that is so original it deserves a sequal number? Honestly was Red Dead any different? lol

They seriously need to stop giving GTA games whole numbers and just stick to decimal points treating it as just another add-on or update it is... This is really GTA 3.7.1

But i'm sure not going to take the word from a store that employs people,that more than half of them no nothing about gaming to begin with.Much less have an accurate release date list. That's how it is where I live any way.
