Grand Theft Auto IV getting episodic on PS3?

yeah why doesnt nintendo release a gta game on wii the wii sale could go up i mean come on do something nintendo

While I own a 360 and am not getting a ps3 any time soon (if ever) I hope this is true. I hate it when a game is released on mulitple consoles and one version gets exclusive content. Like the two extra multiplayer modes in Command and Conquer3 on the 360.

Just another reason to eagerly anticipate the arrival of this game. Ahh anther reason to appreciate purchasing the PS3... :)

WoW Personally, Im a Microsift guy, but I have Played the GTA series and I think it should stay a Sony Game, I kinda dont like the idea of GTA on Xbox, but hey...who knows...

It all seems good for 360 owners except one thing. When III, Vice City, and San Andreas came out for the PS2 first, Rockstar could find problems with the games and fix them for Xbox, on top of adding better graphics and more subtle details. With GTA IV, however, the 360 version will have the same problems as the PS3 version.

this game is gonna be off the hook for all platforms. it's great it's coming to 360. although the ps3 possy will be angry, it's a good way for rockstar to gain more revenue and such. the GTA series was never playstation exclusive, it's just now xbox doesn't have to wait. but it's too bad for playstation that it will sell way more for the xbox than the playstation.

that can't make something exclusive like this franchise as its to big of a money maker for rockstar, think of the extra coin they made by first releasing it on another platform other then that of the Playstation

Am I the only one that thinks this is ok? A game can be different on different systems. EA did it with NBA Street V3. Gamecube was given Mario, Luigi and Peach as playable characters while the PS2 and XBOX got other exclusives and XBOX Live. I thinks its actually pretty cool that people will get different content for the game depending on what system they buy it for. I don't own a PS3, and I wouldn't be dissapointed at all if a PS3 owner got different content than a 360 owner. I'm not offended at all if some kid with a PS3 gets an extra gun, or and extra island than me. As long as the game is fun I'm not going to whine about losing out on some stupid downloadable.

This is stupid. I bet we have to pay for this extra content. Even if we don't I still think it's stupid. Why don't they just include it on the game disc? Especially if it's available from day one! I'm starting to get really annoyed with this trend. Before we unlocked extra content by completing missions, typing cheats, beating high scores and goals, but now we have to wait for them to download from the internet and, for many of them, pay for it. Annoying!!!

Ive wlaways been a playstation boy, and loved all of the GTA series. Imagine the power of the necxt one with high definition and stuff.. cant wait gotta hanfd it to you rockstar.. ur modern day legends:D

Ahhh, i agree. I think its stupid for them to release content that was probably supposed to be in the game already, as downloadable content. Hopefully someone finds out how to download the content and put it online for free.

Um, no Sony fans cringe once again. The 360 is getting two exclusive episodic downloads that the PS3 is not. There will be nothing exclusive to the PS3, but only to the 360 because of the monstrous check Microsoft gave to Take-Two. Sucks for Sony, once again.

i dont kno why the 360 fans are getting worked up over dis bollox im only worried about 1 game around that time and that will be the EXCLUSIVE to xbox 360 halo 3. that game will simply keep most 360 gamers occupied for long enough to forget weather ps3 has the same content or not

lol i love how a lot of people are saying "since Peter Moore said it, it has to be true" ONE WORD: fable. Was the worst disspoinment from what all of them where saying especially peter moore. and yes the ps3 is going to destroy xbox 360 later because of the differnce in disk size alone. Now im not saying this is oging to ahppen right away but later after the developers get use to the extreme amount of graphics and space avaiable you are going to see something amazing. Microsoft knows this so they want to build thier player base asap, and as we all know they really dont care about truth. Now sony isnt perfect and im mad that my ps3 controller is not going to ahve a rumble pack but w/e ill live with it. and so what the ps3 is a little bit more expensive the online for the ps3 is completly free except for mmo's -which i think is a smart idea opposite of xbox 360 . and yes we ahve to watch out for teh grave that the developers are digging with downloable "expansions" that will cost more and more money for us as a player base, but we'll come to that bridge when its here.

i think gtaIV will be a bigger hit on the ps3 than it will on the 360 because of the motion controls and the better graphix plus gta has been on the playstaition since the beginning it would be sad for gta to be "bigger" on the 360.

It is all normal to see ps3 game that will be different than x360... just because of the difference of cd between the two consoles... the 30 or 50 gb blue ray of sony permit to known game creators to exploit a lot more creativity like in gta on ps3 don't be surprised to be able to enter any building ... a lot of details like that i think will differ with the 360 version, while smaller game producer will continue to make game in one final version for ps3 and x360... cause u all know it cost a lot more to do 1 gta version for x360 and another for the ps3... but beleive me u all want to play the ps3 version...
